Guys I'm currently running this on crossfire HD5850's. Indoors is absolutely fine but outdoors there is a juddering every two seconds of movement or so. If I don't move the fps is fine.

This is how it went for my character:

It's just one example. You can go into the BoS base wearing full synth gear, or an Institute lab coat/clean suit, doesn't matter. Nobody reacts to it because reasons.
It's those little details that propel a game from 'good' to 'great', and Bethesda put all their effort in funny skeleton positioning gags instead of details that actually improve the game.

Vegas was underwhelming as hell, I remember slogging it around to head to Vegas only to get there and be completely disappointed with how shit the entire city was, not to mention gambling was just playing slots or blackjack alone in a huge Casio which existed entirely for your own sake it seemed.
Freeside as well was just dead disputed being one of the more interesting areas.
The quests were alright but all the best ones were thrown in with the main quest anyways as you had to go on a tour of Nevada to see all their little quest-hubs.
Soon after if came out I stopped playing it for nearly a year wen I dig it out again to try the DLC and see some mods.
That was the only point I started to enjoy it and get past how much of a slog the entire game is.
Overall I would take weaker quest stories for a more detailed world, Nevada was so lifeless and static, and Vegas was nothing but generic ruins which you couldn't even enter the majority of.
The casinos too, only 2 of the paltry 4 were actually interesting.

Something's not working with my settlement.
I briefly saw in the upper left a warning sign about my settlement having 0% water or something.
Thought it must be a bug, because I have 15 Industrial Water Purifiers all powered, and a few water pumps that could already take care of my settlement's water needs of 16 people.
I come back and I have only around 4-5 purified waters after several hours after having installed all those industrial water purifiers, and I distinctly remember have around 35 before I left.
Current water rating for my settlement is a green 612.

Fallout is a weird series because there's quite a few different entries that all play very differently. Fallout 1/2 are old school turn-based CRPGs like Baldur's Gate. Fallout 3/4 are open world shooters. Fallout NV looks visually similar to 3, but is actually more dialogue oriented and combat takes a back seat.

I started out with a charisma build. Supply lines gve qou an additional option but are not game breaking. The ability to make work station and shops is however very useful. I would still wait for 30-40 before I pick it up. It's not something you need in the early game. The stores pretty much only give you credits and easy access for ammo/docs/weapons. The workbenches are mostly preinstalled. The power armor racks can be bought from Atom Cats and other vendors for about 5000 caps if you really never plan on getting the perk.

Getting into the asylum is weird and tied to quests. You gotta kill the mercs there, and be above level ten. Those qualifier met a ghoul will appear in the three taverns around the commonwealth that will give you a quest for Cabot. Just Gotta get my Perception up to 7 for "Refractor: 50 Energy DMG reduction"
I might grab "Rooted" as well another 50 damage reduction and 50% more melee damage while standing still.
If i raise Agility to 6 i could get Moving Target as well so I'd have the 50 DMG reduction while running and standing still.

I wouldn't say bad, but not great either, I'm having troubles finding a compelling reason to keep playing at this point, unique items are all garbage, melee combat's stiff, guns feel wildly inaccurate, and -most- of the characters are pretty fucking boring.

Yup, of course after 6-7 shots the recoil is so much that you're looking straight up, but it's great for demolishing anything that gets too close for comfort.

Why cant there be a super powerfist, thats just like the supersledge with its little jet engine, but you wear it on your arm...or something. fuck im just miffed ive dumped points in punching when i just found a Supersledge and its already nearly the same dmg as my upgraded fist with no points in melee weps

Powerfist is faster though, probably uses less AP in VATS too, and the furious powerfist you get from swan lays on EXTRA damage the more you punch people.
