I'd go with Arch Rod + Memedagger, a 5 point difference of INT between the two weapons isn't really significant for your summons or any other of your moves for that matter. At best that staff will only give your summons +4 points in dmg if you have the skill at lvl 5.

The hardest part was balancing SP pots with attribute costs. After a while it just eases and up I just buy 40 or so small pots once in a while.

I actually already do this build, I did Cryo into Kino into Linker. CryoKino between 50-90 is really strong, one especially if you have a memedagger to give to yourself at 75. Then you get linker at rank 4 so everyone will invite you to the 90 dungeon.
This combo is really fun in general because Cryo C1 only has like 2 attacks so getting Psychic Pressure is very useful. Ice Pike and Joint Penalty have this neat hidden synergy where things will actually get hit multiple times in an AOE. Also if you fuck up the icewall psychic pressure attack, you can still joint penalty your icewall and whack it manually.

my build intends to go to Sorcereress after so I went for Cryo just for the CC while my Summons smash shit. My normal DPS is just fine for PvE. I don't think Pyro is worth it in the long run unless you bother to get C2.

I dunno, I've levelled 3 characters right now, all different base classes, they've all levelled pretty easily.
If you get into min maxing sure swordsman shits on everything else but it aint that serious, just have fun, this game is easy and relaxing, don't have time to care about what class is best when you have so many fun ones.

Low-mid levels Swordsman absolutely dominates in terms of DPS and everyone else is basically just support with some minor DPS capabilities. It's slightly more balanced in the higher circles but it's very easy to end up with an underpowered build if you don't know what you are doing. This is still Closed Beta though obviously and a lot of shit is subject to change, a lot of stuff will most likely change severely. Right now is the perfect chance to fuck around a bit and get a feel for the game, what ends up being viable or not is still completely up in the air

Yes, often times Barbarians(the class that will regularly autoattack for the same amount of damage some other classes will do with their strongest skills) will follow around Linkers(class that can link groups of enemies and make them all take damage) and steal their mobs as they try to set up for kills.
The Linkers can do nothing but hope the Barbarian will eventually throw them a party invite, which they usually won't since it nets them less exp, or link more mobs for them in hopes that they would leave sooner.

Tbh, they're relatively balanced for a closed beta. Swordsman>Cleric>Wizard>Archer is how they stack up atm. Swordsman are leading the pack because Cartar Stroke gives them an insanely good skill for low SP and skill cost.
There are noob traps though, and lots of skills have hidden interactions with each other. Like you can't go Highlander > Barb > Cataphract > Corsair and expect to kill anything because each of those classes use a different weapon type for their skills.

People saying that Swordsman is the only good class are either butthurt or shitposting. Though most of the other classes aren't that great early.
Archers are weak with the exception of Wugushi from what I've heard, I think Rogue is alright though.
Elementalist does crazy damage, and even more if you go Wizard 3 for quick casting.
Priest does a lot of damage early with Blessing/Sacrament, and Bokor is really good at grinding. Monks also have beyond absurd damage, and since they're in the Cleric tree, they have amazing utility and sustain as well.
