I think they could really do an Empire II: East Asia, focusing on the 18th-early 20th centuries. How do I not be shit at long term strategy? I can win the battles themselves, but I usually get booty blasted from poor planning on the campaign map. At Shogun 2, for instance, I can fend off larger forces and take territory like it's no one's business, but I eventually get rekt when my opponent shows up in an unprotected part of the map with an unrealistically massive army.

There's a pen and ping tool to draw things (f1 and f2), and there's a system in place for a leader to be voted on and give commands. Good mix of Eastern and Western units Good Horse Skirmishers, Heavy cay and Heavy Infantry. Downside is most of the units are middle tier. Your gonna have to be good at complimenting unit cards. I've already reconquered the lost Roman territories in my SS campaign. The fucking pope is hard to put down.

Is there a way to reduce stack size in Napo-leon or Shogun 2? I just can't enjoy campaigns late when I have to decide between microing 40 units or autoresolving all my battles.

That's not what I was talking about. I mean i'm basically a casual. I don't want to CONTROL a lot of units, though I certainly don't want to gimp myself and leave the AI untouched either. I prefer the small to medium scale battles. I would like a mod that limits the maximum units you can have in an army in a stack. I don't mind the size of the units, so much as having a lot of units to manage. I want all the armies to be smaller. I don't want 10 troops to a unit, I want less units to a stack, and less stacks to a faction. I'm just not sure how to go about it since I usually play vanilla.
