I'm new to the series and was drawn to the CB too, but I'm not fond of weapons that have no inherit weakness, I love it don't get me wrong. But it's way too strong and not challenging in my opinion. So I moved on to play SA and Bow. I love CB, and guard points are fucking amazing, but I feel it made the game too easy for me. I replayed with exclusively bow and had a really fun time. But experience differs and yadda yadda, I don't think you're a shitter because of it. It's easily the best weapon in MH4U, no reason to be a shitter because you're drawn to it.

Hammer doesn't need Razor Sharp (not that it's not nice to have). Hunting Horn really does. The difference comes down to factors like actual strikes per second. Hammer is on the low end of that spectrum, HH just seems to shred.
