There is literally always a rush at the end. I doubt the backers for this were even completely exhausted by the rush for the extension since we cleared it with more than 24 hours to spare and the extension may not have been common knowledge to everyone. The definite ending date has been broadcast to everyone with even a passing interest in the campaign meaning the full set of donators will be able to participate in the final final rush..
A substantial rush is no longer guaranteed now, we had a fuck huge rush ti the extension, meaning a lot of people did what they were going to do for last minute early.
Now, of course there will still be a rush, but it probably isn't going to be a $450,000 rush.

There is no MIGHT about the final rush, it always happens literally every single campaign.
and it isn't the same people, there are a ton of slackers who watch the campaign and don't donate at all until the end. TFH had 800 new backers each of the last two days, more than they gained on any other day except for the first (although there's about a week of backer data before that which has been corrupted)

What do you use as a source for that?
I've been using crowdcharts to monitor indivisible and it doesn't do backer numbers. (I use the daily numbers because while 0 to 80k is really visible on a cumulative chart, 1M to 1.015M is not

crowdcharts does do backer numbers in daily progress, it's just that sometimes it will fuck up for a few days and not register any and then register 3 or 4 days at once. I assume that this is only a single bug with the backer tracker and the numbers are fine any time when they aren't zero or a really large number following a string of zeroes.

Crowdcharts is really shitty honestly; it sometimes glitches out and doesn't track any new Backers for several days, only to dump them all on a single day, and it's Prediction assumes that it maintains the current rate all the way to the end, when it never does.
Look at pretty much any ended campaign on Crowdcharts or Kicktraq or whatever; they pretty much always get a huge spike near the end, even when it's already funded by then.

What's the deal with Black Friday anyway? You typically find better deals after Black Friday, when stores are getting rid of things they didn't sell. I remember one year Home Depot had these huge cases of AA batteries that they were practically giving away because they had too many left over. Those things lasted me forever.

We got a nearly 140k rush to get the Extension, I think we can make it happen.
