That really depends on your character. A trooper may decide he wants to defy orders to ensure civilian safety or cooperation between different agencies. He'd get stuck in promotion hell for it, but can't have that when he's constantly saving the Republic's hide.
A smuggler may draw the line at some point: robbing rich people is perfectly fine, robbing poor folk is not ok, slavery is too far, stuff like that.
And a SW is actually doing the Empire good if he goes LS, keeping useful people alive and using them later.

Theron's pretty cool, and Malgus only became an idiot at end of Illum's stories to the False Emperor flashpoint. His sudden idiocy seemed to come a bit out of nowhere, especially in his post-Athiss flashpoint dialogue.

In my experience, people who say DPS doesn't matter are almost always bad at PvP. You can be a team player and still do high amounts of damage, and unless you're playing a fluff damage spec, all that damage is useful. Damage dealt is also a good metric of how often you are participating in fights and killing high-priority targets. It's also always fun to jerk off to your high scores as any good PvPer knows.
Just hit 65 right before Kotfe, where do I gear up? The only thing I've found is lvl 65 vendor at the fleet that takes common data crystals. also damn this thread died this week.

I'm playing as preferred at the moment and the only gear drops I get, outside of purple quest rewards, tend to be 99% of the time not for my class. Quest rewards for heroics consist of lockboxes, which are supposed to give you 2 pieces of armor, and they're locked behind the subscription.

In my experience the shitters focusing on DPS are the ones that has zero situational awarness. And the people focusing on dps are always rolling a DoT or AoE heavy spec to brag about muh fluff damage. There is on average one to two good dps in a warzone and they are usually in the opposing team's premade since the queuing algorithm enjoy stacking grouped up players against solo queuers. The far majority of the solo queuing dps players are terrible and will have issues getting the dps medal. Some terrible dps players have figured out they can roll a dot class and get great numbers but contribute less than average in a warzone.
I recommend watching Snave when he streams despite being a PVE server scrub and being a quitter when his team's dps are terrible. He is never top damage but is more or less the reason why his team wins. He plays for objectives. He's the reason a huttball match is over in the first two minutes because he understands objectives.

When I play my healer which is a merc I use CC around every 10 seconds thanks to the heroic utility. I use electronet defensively and offensively. I even use concussive round with the no channel buff to cap objectives, stalling or to relieve pressure assuming the dps aren't completely retarded and break it.
When I play my concealment operative I use sap and flashbang to cap objectives. Now how do you play your sorc? Because honestly you sound like the typical sorc player.

Start on a pve server and roll sorc or sage healer. By far the easiest and best healer to play. Roll on a pve server because people there are honestly bad in general. Otherwise in general stay back, use cc and escapes. Learn to prioritize targets to heal.
Don't heal the fucktards in pve gear. Heal the guy that keeps you alive and keeps pressure away from you. People being bursted down by 3 people can probably not be saved unless he pops a cooldown. Don't waste heals on him unless you can burst heal him around 60k health in 2 or 3 globals and sustain at least 3k HPS on him the next 10 seconds. Also don't heal the guy roaming around soloing guys far from the objectives.

Once you hit lvl 20 you get less xp if you're not subbed. Earlier access to mounts and other features is also a nice extra for subs.

All the time in level 65 areas and even when levelling. At least on ToFN. Every time I go to do Yavin to do some quick quests for cash I always end up in at least 10 pvp battles. It usually ends in butthurt and people bringing their guildmates in. I certainly don't understand those people that do open world pve in pve gear on pvp servers.
With 4.0 OPvP has changed and you are more or less required to bring a companion with 50 influence and in heal mode or dps mode if you are a healer. Your priority target is the companion because that fucker can burst heal a player from almost dead to full in one global.
