As a genuine bronzie who spends a lot of time playing and reading, how do you actually get gud? Going full retard with the team doesn't work. Same for just playing how you'd expect higher-ranked people to play doesn't work. It seems so hopeless. It's just the same old win/lose hard game in QM and "fucking teenager faggots lost the game and rage in chat" in HL every day.
I am very accepting of how bad I am and willing to improve, but how the fuck does it actually work? I just wanna have fun with a game that I enjoy a lot when it's going well, even if it's a loss.

There's some VFW shit that hardware-encodes on AMD cards too. It's pretty good and very configurable. Not on AMD anymore, but after a bit of tweaking I feel like it worked a lot better than Shadowplays does for me now.

Also 90% of matches below rank 3ish are won/lost due to poor positioning of someone. Games are over before there was even a real fight because one or two people are picked off before a teamfight. So if you want to win, make sure your team is on point, ping a lot, tell them to stay together, etc.And don't be an asshole while doing that and they might actually listen.

Find a hero you enjoy and get good at them. Even if you lose, at least you'll be playing a hero you enjoy.
Focus on your own mistakes instead of focusing on others. Don't fixate, just acknowledge what you could have done better and move on. Watching your replays can help, too.

I haven't even finished the placement matches after the change because HL is no fun at all. People don't reply in draft and then rage afk once the game gets going and all that shit. Maybe I need to play during different times... It's just been horrible. Before the reset I was honestly hovering between 40 and 25 or whatever a lucky winning streak carried me to. It never felt like my team deserved the victories, it was just the other team being completely retarded. My QM MMR fell to 1700 or something now, I want to kill myself really badly.

That's what I've been trying. I'm not watching my replays like crazy, but I always try to ask myself "what did I do wrong?" even if my team did something I didn't think was right. It's only been about 150h for me, and I'm mostly just playing QM with friends now, but it's starting to get to me. Always politely asking team mates to do things as well. "x, could you y for me?" "I think if we might x we could y", stuff like that. But with afks every HL game and feeding teenagers at what HOTDOGS thinks is like 1kMMR it's no good anymore.

For VFW I always used dxtory, you can use everything with that. OBS is very limited to what type of encoding you can use, but it's easier to configure past the encoders usual options. Won't need that with Open VFW though, everything you need is there. Just download dxtory and try it I'd say. I'm too drunk to walk you through it, but it's not too hard.

VFW is deprecated in 15.7 drivers. I actually have dxtory installed and know my way around it. Is there an AMF solution to go with DXtory that I can output that to OBS? I'm trying to get 60 FPS in heroes of the storm with OBS but it's a struggle because of my first gen I7 CPU.

Not that I know of, sorry. HotS just seems really bad at properly utilizing CPUs. Never been able to get consistent 60 fps recordings either. Not even 48 fps (which is what I stream/record at usually) now that I think about it. It's always been 30 for that game, and performance always drops when recording. I spent a considerable amount of time tweaking to, but I'm retarded, so keep that in mind and don't let it discourage you.

People like Kil'jaeden and Archimonde could destroy him pretty easily, as Kil'jaeden was the one who created the LK anyway. He wouldn't be able to stand up against the aspects either when they still had their titan power. I think people think the LK is a lot more powerful than he really is in warcraft. People like Malfurion could also beat him, but he was trapped in the dream.

Is an Orc Shaman, not a warrior. He could barely qualify as a warrior, as he barely relies on Doomhamer for -anything-. He typically uses elemental powers above all else.

Isn't really an Orc considering he's a halfling, and again, is barely a warrior at all. He's more of an archer/hunter type in that he's used throwing axes as his weapon of choice, and then of course bows in Hearthstone, but fuck Hearthstone. Relies on his animal friends for everything. Not a warrior by any means.
We have absolutely no Orc warrior characters. Orcs? Yeah, sure, but no warriors. If you want to complain about the amount of Orcs are in the game, I'd argue we've got a shit ton more Humans and if anything need ore Orcs, or in MY opinion, more of every other race. A Troll or Undead that isn't Sylvanas, would be nice.

HotS is really poorly optimized. It's pretty much the only game other than Borderlands 2 (my GPU is AMD, so the damn physX shit is all over my CPU) that puts any strain on my CPU at times. The game shouldn't be half as system intensive as it is now, if it were optimized.

But seriously, Abathur is versatile and fun but if you're QMing solo it might be a shot in the dark if the other 4 players won't group up. I went down to silver getting him to like 11, but he was my first buy, so I guess it really isn't an excuse for the time spent to where my MMR is now. There's going to be a ton of assassins coming out that will both eliminate other roles from QMs until the matchmaking fix and prove the pareto principle of select good goys keeping this game alive, but regardless, the bonus attack speed probably won't let you down. getting a lot of long games today - we were against a zeratul who took
regen master/vamp assault/searing attacks/shadow assault/giant killer/rending cleave/nexus blades and a muradin who went grand slam
turns out both came in a lot of use as our squishies kept going out of position. Honestly I felt I could have guarded their arses a bit better especially that one time that zagara wandered off to get murdered. I was kind of paying attention to what was in front of me (I was standing at the ruins of their bottom fort) and zagara was all the way back to where our tower's can shoot at in bottom lane, ofc we didn't have any towers there anymore
at one point when we killed 2 of them we were taking shrine at top and zeratul came along and started hitting our core - like he didn't even have nerazim fury which would have made more sense I think - between two backdoor attempts they got it down to 38% and eventually they killed all of our DPS again somehow even though I was pissing off jaina and valla and finished it off

Abathur is really the one who needs to be banned from QM. When not playing him, start counting which team loses when one team has Abathur and you'll be amazed. He's only good when he works extremely well with both the comp and map which is extremely rare in QM unless you are queuing with a large group.
Gazlowe isn't good, but a decent played should top hero and siege damage almost every time if the opposing team isn't AoE heavy in QM. Now if it's a robo Gaz then yes it's complete shit and your entire team is almost sure to lose.

Depends on your soundcard. Most combos with one plug aren't recognized in standard chipsets. The rings on the plug thing are for different hings... left audio, right audio, mic. Generic soundcards don't recognoize that and need a dedicated mic... Some do, but only one at the time as in your case. Not much experience with that though, so there might be a fix.
You can frankenstein solder some shit together, but it'd be cheaper to get a crappy clip-on mic.

So assassins can have a stat to look at for their performance. Most of the stats are meaningless, but support and tanks have their own column, specialists have siege damage, and hero damage is kind of a toss up between sustained damage dealers.
Assassins a lot of the time are the people actually killing people with their burst instead of just whittling them down, lane poking or aoeing, and that is the reason for giving them credit. That was the reason for the change.

I really hate BHB but a lot of funny shit happens on that map, like one game where we posted up a Sgt. Hammer there and basically spent the entire game holding the coins while I Abathur'd in all of the lanes to keep the XP and pushing up. They continually tried to engage us, died, lost coins, and burnt out at the end.

Pretty much just what I said, really. The only Specialist that I feel actually fits the Specialist role is Gazlowe, I appreciate how merc and objective-based he is, he's totally my favorite hero in the game. However that's the exact reason why he isn't viable. There's no room in this game for a more jungler-esque playstyle, and I hate that. It's the one thing I really miss from other MOBAs. This game focuses too much on team fights for that to ever be a thing.
If I wanted to play an Assassin, I'd play an Assassin. The only other Specialsit I actually dont't mind playing is NAzeebo, but only because I love the Witch Doctor, other than that I despise essentially just playing an Assassin under a different name, for no real reason.

There are times where being savvy and taking another 7 may get you more mileage, but I prefer the ultra-consistent route. I know how frustrating it can be when you die due to being silenced/slowed and your team's Uther took something like Holy Fire
