This patch is already out of content and we're just getting into day 2. The only thing "to do" is the mega RNG explorations for gear that I don't need.
WAR should never have been a tank class.
MRD should have started as physical DPS and stayed that way. The job should have been called Berserker or something. The whole concept of the class/job is pumping out damage. It's not about protecting people, it's not about anything benevolent at all. The class/job quests are all about "inner beast" shit and it just doesn't fit a tank at all.

I have a problem.
I was downloading the patch last night, and my computer froze, which for my home-built computer, isn't anything special. It happens once a week or so.
I restarted my computer and FFXIV gave me an odd error, upon entering my username and password, it said: "Unable to complete version update", and it had some numbers in brackets under it.
I emailed tech support last night, and awoke to find an email from them.
They told me to try a few things:
First off: Go to Internet Explorer (even if I don't use internet explorer), Delete all history, set security settings to medium or below, and allow cookies.
Secondly: go to my FFXIV launcher icon, go thru properties, and make sure it is set as "run as admin" and compatablility set for "win 7".
Thirdly, if the top two don't work: Go and make sure my TCP ports are properly set.
I did the first two (I'm not modem savvy, I'll have my brother/roommate help with the third), but Nothing's changed.
From the freeze-during update and the error description, I figured my acccount was just between patches or corrupted or something. So after trying the first two, I unistalled and reinstalled my copy of FFXIV and Heavensward.
I still get the same error when I click the green "Play" button.
Anyone have this problem before? What do I do? My bro has FFXIV on his pc and he can play just fine... so I doubt it's the modem/router.
Please help. I'm so frusterated.

3 months ago when savage was totally new, it'd be one thing if PLD was sub-optimal and rarely anybody took it into groups. But we're this far into Savage's release, people are tons geared now, and still no tank wants to play PLD in savage nor do most groups want to take one.
It can somewhat be attributed to the fact that pubbies are usually garbage and think they need a 100% optimal setup to clear anything, but it's still a pretty big problem.

Useless til 58. Then you get Trance, and it has the same mana cost as Ruin. You can get about 5 casts off in the time it takes for Trance to run out. But until you get Trance, don't even act like you have Ruin 3. Just think of it like the 50 rotation, only you can Tri-Disaster > Contagion before going into Trance for no-worry Ruin 3 spam.

For the most part just keep your main DoTs up(bio 1 and 2 , miasma and shadow flare), use your aetherflow wisely, spam ruin 3 if in dreadwrym, 2 if you gotta move or use OGCDs or otherwise ruin 1
Also try not to blow all your flow stacks at once unless you got a good reason to
And combine contagion with raging strikes dreadwrym and tri disaster

As DRK, just do your daily roulettes then spam the highest level dungeon you can do, you'll get near-instant queues as tank. 3.1 buffed the xp from 50-59 dungeons so it should be fairly quick,
