I'm expecting disappointment for enhancement because I have some ideas that I really like and I doubt they'll go for anything along those lines. My realistic hope is just that it stays the lots of fast, small hits spec and that they move a bunch of damage from padding nova to somewhere more effective.
Resto I think is fine how it is. Maybe they'll make it the totem spec because it's really the only one with flavourful totems as it is. I really really like resto for 5mans so the main thing I want is for the challenge mode progression system to be fun and interesting and rewarding.
For ele I just want Lava Burst to get it's burst back but I don't play ele much at all.
I'd really hate to see are each spec focusing on a different element like mages though.

Templar's Verdict was Physical, FV turned it Holy which meant it ignored armor (seeing as how every Raid Boss ever has some level of Armor this was essentially a damage buff to TV), in addition it added a ten yard range and that buff to DS.
Seeing as how TV is now Holy damage without needing a talent, and the blog keeps mentioning they don't like Ret having ranged attacks outside of Judgement, it's more likely thay they are getting rid of FV. Hopefully along with that weird DS buff and just an overall increase to DS's baseline.

Chances to proc chances to proc chances. This isn't good when the main source of damage is twice as expensive as it was before with the resource tied to dot crits and a 12s cooldown (twice as expensive to use, twice as hard to generate). Mastery is also a bit meh. Currently it's a bit meh too but multi-strike with a different visual effect? really?
Currently, [charred remains] Destruction is good fun, imo. It feels fast-paced without being spammy. Deep enough without asking you to spend your raid looking at coloured bars. Using chaos bolt is fun at all times and when it's the vast majority of your damage it's usage can become quite pivotal - misuse could punish the raid if at the wrong moment but also make mincemeat of a target if used correctly. That's the destruction spec.
All destruction needed was a more interesting mastery and maybe something involving imps. Personally I think all warlock specs should employ some form of demon in their play w/ demonology being swarms of them to set it apart. Right now, summons are shit. I can't remember the last time I had a demon out for long enough that it finished it's spawn emote before evaporating.

Say I start playing WoW half into the expansion. I use my boost on something I dislike, and casually level something up from level 1.
I have time if I actually put effort in to progress through the raids with a casual guild and start mythic raiding before the expansion is over.
I agree there is a lack of content but that's the real problem, not the year standstill we've practically always had with every expansion in the past.
We could use a ruby sanctum or HoT dungeon rollout though. Maybe if timewalking wasn't a fucking weekly event but something that was doable every day it'd fill the gap in.

Demo is good, especially coming off the back of one of the better specs in the game.
Destro RNG is absolute bullshit and flies in the face of what destro is about. The whole point of that spec is being able to skillfully allocate damage and the guaranteed crit chance on chaos bolts meant you'd have a reasonable expectation of what that damage was, the new mastery and soul shard regen avenue is terrible in this respect.
Affliction - Good shift to dots over filler, hell to balance on multitarget because despite being boring gameplay the filler ability allowed us to scale alright with multitarget and still be good on single target without being terribly overpowered. Also curious to see what the other soul shard spender is as well as nightfall chance, currently taking into account a no shards pandemic with cast time, we need a shard every 5-6 seconds just to maintain UA on single target, but then on multi-target we'll have a surplus of shards if we take that contagion talent

As an in-game spec, absolutely, but they could have reworked the spec completely, focusing on the chaos part, making it heavily RNG and/or proc-based.
This looks like they were afraid to go all in on the latter becaused destro isn't in the same place as either demo, enhancement or survival and they found a really bad compromise that makes no sense.

I think something I was discussing with another lock was that rng does have its place, like trinket procs I don't mind that kind of rng because it adds variety to your playstyle in that moment, but if you have just a passive rng that sometimes your spell will just do more damage or have a chance to generate soul shards where it takes it out of the players hands it just feels shit.
If they made the spec heavily proc based, which in a sense with things like GSR and DSI it does already heavily revolve around reacting to procs, it would actually be really fun, like a bunch of in built procs would make you think on the fly and emphasise that chaos perspective or have something I heard someone else suggest was like a volatile dot that randomly erupts and removes itself that you have to constantly watch.

Elemental shamans got their lightning shield mechanic baked into maelstrom (though at least we get our old mastery back).
Enhancement shamans got spells renamed (unleashe elements --> flametongue). Also we apparently have to spam rockbiter to gain maelstrom.

Unleash Elements and flametongue aren't the same at all. UE played in with other spell and if you goofed which spell to use after it, it could impact your dps. FT is just a buff to keep up. It's not interesting or anything, but it certainly isn't UE. And rockbiter spam can't be any worse than a cast time spell as filler on a melee class.
All in all, Ele got nothing but a weird Flame Shock vs Earth Shock prioritizing and enhancement can't possibly get worse than it is, even though they're making it almost a 4th warrior spec.

My problem is where the hell is the RNG? They're seemingly removing FS from enhancement, so Lava Lash resets don't seem like a possibility. Ele got LvB and overload, Enhancement are losing both RNG procs and gaining only one. I literally play Shaman for the RNG.

Well its like this. DK is my go to guy for all current content I do like mythic dungeons, challenge modes, and maybe LFR. Hes my main for mostly 5 man stuff and will remain so. My other two classes are my old content solo masters. People I use to either breeze through old raids for mogs, pets, and mounts, or for pulling together entire raids/dungeons. I use Monk currently because Ox Statue and kegs make it extremely easy. The only competition I see currently is Paladin, Druid, and Hunter for that third slot. I just need something thats fast and has good self healing.

It's actually a double edged sword, because I'm assuming since they got rid of consecutive pyros and double procs as well as combustion which is essentially just a glorified T17 proc with the extra time being diminished by the fact that they aren't instant cast, they are spreading damage to other abilities besides pyro, as well as the fact that inferno blast now has one sole use to give you pyro procs since combustion spreading is gone, which slightly improves crit reliance but at the same time makes the spec considerably less fun to play.

Mythic level will require the legendary for competent groups, but they've added a lot of catchup mechanics. Only the Shipyard is a big annoyance, but you can do that without much time investment.

Isn't pvp basically scripted as well? Especially at the higher levels, which is basically all that matters. If a someone is low health, you cc the dps, if someone on the other team has low health pop cooldowns, if someone pops CDs, cc, if healer is casting and someone is on low health, you interrupt them. Basically pve but with a longer line of scripts.

pet battle pvp doesnt take that much skill tbqh. If there was more variety and control then Id agree theres a certain skill to it, but with a limit of 3 pets and 6 abilities per pet the skill ceiling is pretty low. Most of the skill boils down to guessing what your opponent is going to do, then using one of your 3 skills to counter it. If there were more skills to work with it would be much more interesting.
Pet battles are not balanced either. 90% of pets are absolutely worthless when it comes to pvp battles. Anubisath Idol is a hard counter to the majority of pets, 3 pets with cleave can take out almost every non-pro team comp, cash shop/collectors edition/tcg pets almost always outclass normally obtained pets, the list goes on.

engineering is always useful. They seem to be a lot more movement related things though, like legendary items that increase movement speed based on your haste. engineering might not be as useful.
tailoring is always great at the start. every rich guy NEEDS the new bags.
leatherworking will probably be extremely popular. people like making rogues to gank people who are still leveling, and demon hunters use leather. big potential list of people to buy crafted gear from.

Sylvannis is a Dark Ranger. In Legion you'll be able to go Marksmanship Hunter and pick the Dark Ranger talent to more or less mimic her class.
We'll never get a proper Dark Ranger hero class because it's essentially a Rogue Death Knight that uses a bow, too much overlap with existing specs and skills.

We've certainly still got the Emerald Dream and Argus to see, and I guess maybe some filler expansion like Pandaria (I think I had an idea for another lore heavy exp but can't remember atm) so 3 more expansions isn't all that crazy.
Also no way they're going to fit Argus in 1 zone, that would be bullshit. It's an entire world inhabited by the Burning Legion. Argus definitely will be the expansion in which we deal with Sargeras and thus we'll probably see it last.
