Hi, I come from /d2g/in peace. I have about maybe 50 hours of counter strike so I don't play all that much, but I wanted to share my experience last night and why it was the best game I've ever played.
Let me start off by saying that I calibrated at silver elite master, so I'm not that good or anything.
I queued up for a game last night and was placed with a two stack and two other randoms. We were against a 4 stack of smurfs and some random.
Now begins the fun; these smurfs were trying to lose. Like, really lose, to de-rank and have some fun with other bad players like me. Five rounds go by, and we're winning 5-0, laughter is ensuing because I have never encountered this before.
So then I suggest: hey, what if we lost instead?
And now the fun began. Suddenly the game was an episode of south park, who could lose the game first. We were terrorists so we refused to plant the bomb. Now we've caught up 5-3.
The smurfs realize that they need to do something. They are desperately trying to kill themselves or run into our bullets. I was swinging in the air with my knife and they would run into me. Or I would make patterns on the wall and they would run into my bullets face first.
All while this is going on, one member of our team (not in the two stack) was talking shit to the smurfs, talking about how he was so much better than them as if this game were serious. He was killing the enemy team and refused to help us accomplish our goal.
Clowny rounds go by, and suddenly it's 14-9 and we are almost on match point unfortunately. For being a dick, the whole team decides to kick our try hard player. The smurfs can't contain their laughter at this point.
And now for the coup de grace, one of the two stack players suggests that he team kills me, gets kicked, and called surrender. It was successful. The enemy team is furious at this point! All their hard work of losing, and they actually won.
GG smurf team 10/10 would play again.
