It's not about fighting in base, it's about forcing them to overextend. Use AM to push down a tower, then immediately ward as aggressively as possible. Last patch it was heavily Lesh favored, now its decently Lesh favored.
As Qop you cant shadow strike without eating a stun and a nuke to the face, you have a better attack animation and damage but worse nukes to farm and harass with. Lesh is also a natural Euls builder so orchids not that effective.
Overall Qop is a better hero this patch but the mid matchup is Lesh favored.

His biggest counter is long duration stuns/silence, and he has mana problems which are solved by linkens, but that really makes him weak from ~8-20 minutes where he is farming linkens into deso.
if you skip linkens then you are super squishy and easy to shutdown, but on the other hand you are shitty against most heros until you get deso.
1 level in swarm does makes him very strong early laning phase against almost any lane. And supports can't really trade hits with him thanks to his passive.

Eh, I've never had an issue with it, you just need to learn to play the hero I guess, get used to her, laning isn't that important, the 10-25 minute mark is where the hero has to perform. You can come out of lane with like 20 cs and still be effective.
Get a PMS, try to trade with enemies when they're not near creeps, usually done after you finish off a wave.
Also go Treads not Phase, it helps a lot, don't level ult past 1 till you've maxed dispersion. Those are the only real 'tricks' that I think a lot of people don't do that could help.
Plus if the games pretty hard, go Yasha before Radiance, with Aquila/Treads/PMS/Yasha your illusions deal a nice amount of damage, and you can haunt in for pretty easy kills after they have used spells on your team, then you get like a 26~ min radiance off the back of that into a quick Manta.

start with plenty of regen and a ring of protection + circlet
before level 6 try to get aquila, urn, boots, and stick, I don't usually get a shield
then get treads or phase, bracer/drums/wand if someone else wants to build urn, sometimes you will need quelling blade or oov
after that go radiance into octarine/manta, whichever you need first (I usually go octarine but idk if that's the best choice)
late game get stuff like refresher, diffusal, butterfly, blade mail, whatever you think you need
I used to max desolate first mostly but lately I've been preferring spectral dagger, same with treads over phase
most important is to not be static in a lane farming with your team protecting you, you need to use haunt proactively whenever you can
get supports to gank other lanes and shit if you're getting crushed and just focus on leeching level 6 and using whatever gold you get to get urn + boots
