Sure thing. Honestly Fate translates fairly well to the DnD system so converting it won't be that difficult. But the way we did it was that you had the DM with a Ruler character. That was their DMPC and they stayed out of the war.
I don't know if it can be done with only 1 or 2 people. We got 7 players together for this (you played both master and servant). We did it online with a stream.
The players would all work on their apps and each would give a finalized copy to the DM/Ruler, because this was part of the info system.
You kept your sheets to yourselves and other players could only piece together information they gained from interactions. Using that information, they had to formulate a guess and send it to the DM/Ruler. If they guessed right, he sent them the Servant's sheet. To try and enforce it and curtail braggarts, DM also had a rule that if you revealed your Servant's identity freely, even OOCly, he could give everyone you revealed it to your sheet.
From there, it was basically a PvP campaign.

Even disregarding the Lesser Key of Solomon as apocryphal, the Talmud goes over Solomon's recurring enmity with the demon Asmodeus, including a legend about Solomon summoning Asmodeus to build the famous Temple of Solomon, and Asmodeus overthrowing him and ruling Judea for some time.
Other demons could be bound by Solomon's silver ring, the Seal of Solomon, which is almost certainly going to be his noble phantasm. (Silver rings repeatedly come up in the Ars Goetia probably for this exact reason)
So yeah, his legend is completely intertwined with demons.

He had a lot of interest in his children Biblically, but Nasu always takes some liberties.
David ever since he fucked over his general, had a sort of curse put on him that bad shit would happen to his family and they'd fall into disorder, but they were not cast out at all. His sin wasn't light at all, but he was still loved and taken care of, as he had to learn a hard lesson there in general.
His family had some shit happen; David's son trying to steal his kingdom and dying, his first born dying, lot of turmoil, but there were a lot of times of peace as well
I think it evened out mostly by the time he appointed Solomon.
The shit David went through with his son, when he would not go to war with him repeatedly, and how he reacted to his first born dying really shows how much David cared about his children.
David is generally a pretty good guy, but he's also a rough type as well. Thinks with his emotions at times.

Get anywhere between 5-14 players beforehand, any less and there'll be accusations and shiz against the GM along with what will basically result into a players vs gm scenario instead of a free for all.
Character creation point rolls for both servant and master, use any old dnd or other system with servant luck being their total amount of rerolls per fight (e.g. D rank luck is 1 reroll).
NPs are basically the only thing you need to customise and shiz as everything else can be converted to dnd/other tabletop systems.
Split actions into day + night only as otherwise it gets convoluted as fuck with everyone doing so many different things.
Use an instant messaging system so that theres no cheating and shit.
Character sheets are kept by each player and GM only with skills getting revealed when they're used and only stats being revealed at first.
If they guess the hero's name than the whole char sheet gets sent to them.

Honestly this is mostly what we did when we had it. It was actually really fun. The best part about it? The first one to freely use their Noble Phantasm got eliminated fast. Everyone else refrained from using their NPs until their backs were against the wall.

Some grill chose siegfried along with a male master (i was 90% sure she was a fujo) due to rolling super high on both servant and master and I let her do it.
She died second due to her servant being well known.
Its basically a trade off, well known servants are stronk (e.g. Arturia or sieg) but their also really well known.
Also, ironically enough the first to die was lancer who used her np super early and people who had info gathering shit like familiars at the location badically just googled or i presumed googled the name of her np before naming her and rekting her due to having the char sheet

Yes, but I think maybe you should go a little further.
Switch Carmilla to the front line and give Lancelot the new Extra Rin CE if you have it. Let Lancelot come in when someone dies, use all the crit stars the Quick-heavy frontline has generated with his skill, and destroy everything.
When Lancelot isn't out, Pirate Sluts and Atalanta both make good crit magnets and Carmilla can help them generate stars better.That's almost the same setup I use on my own Quick team, just with a support Sluts when I can get them. I'm pretty sure it's yours, actually.

A lot of stuff going on, but basically two participants not caring about what happened to fulfill their own objectives (one because he was fucking insane and the other because he was a tyrant who thought that the end justifies the means), a faceless mastermind behind the whole situation pushing his own agenda and some Clock Tower politics imported to the conflict. And then shit happened. Some people survived though, but for the records they were dead and the Grail wasn't even completed.
It was a failure so big and with a huge collateral damage that the Church intervention, the creation of rules for the Third and the Clock Tower disinterest with the whole thing after that point was explained like that. The main narrative conflict within the war was resolved and had a proper climax though.

I wasn't the GM. I was Caster (Solomon). Which is also why I'm hyped about Solomon. I'm really interested to see how TM's and mine differ.
That said, Sargon was a real wake up call because it really hit home that Assassin was actually allowed to assassinate. So we had to choose between keeping our Masters close in the line of fire, or keeping them away but potentially getting them killed.
Really fun and it had you second guessing everything you did.

Alright then, I guess I'll start with a few asterisks:
The campaign didn't start out as a Grail War. It was pitched as KnK-esque supernatural detective shit, and followed that archetype for about three or four cases before it became apparent that the BBEG was setting up a Grail War.
It was a one-on-one campaign with me and the GM. The campaign didn't start out this way, but by the time the Grail War kicked off the rest of the players had already dropped out for one reason or another and the DM and I agreed to keep going.
And the campaign never finished. The last session we had ended with about thirty minutes of the DM and I debating how a particular NP-vs-NP interaction would play out. Hell, only one Servant actually died, and I only figured out the identity of about three enemy Servants (and one allied Servant), and one of them was a Hassan.

Before the Grail War itself started, the last supernatural-detective case was to investigate leyline disturbances at a muggle private academy run by a Clock Tower magus. Turns out he was in league with the BBEG and had set up a rudimentary Grail and summoned a single Servant: Lilith in the Caster class. In true Nasuverse revisionist history fashion, Lilith wasn't really that bad of a person (her origin was "Defiance" and she was cast out of the Eden basically for not being able to resist it; she then made a pact with Lucifer for protection/out of spite and eventually committed suicide out of just being tired of having to kill people who tried to kill her), so she rebelled against her Master as best she could under the Command Seals. After he was dead, before she vanished, my character managed to hack the Grail with the BBEG's unwitting help to incarnate Caster (or, as I'd come to call her, Lily) and create a contract with her, despite his natural anti-magic Psychic powers.
Then a couple weeks later the real Grail War kicked off with seven new Servants.

As I said, I teamed up with Lancer and his Master, because his Master was an untrained girl with Magic Circuits I had previously met and befriended on an earlier case. And Longinus had a Noble Phantasm that gave him absurdly high Magic Resistance vs curses and black magic, which were Lilith's forte. Assassin's Master was a former lackey of the BBEG cut loose due to his actions earlier in the campaign. He had been enamored by the (female) BBEG, who had found him and awakened his Origin in a manner similar to Araya in KnK. In fact, you could almost call Assassin's Master a combination of Lio from KnK and Near-side Roa: he was an otherwise-normal serial killer with knockoff MEoDP, who had developed a bit of a bit of an obsession with my character after discovering that due to his aforementioned anti-magic psychic powers, the killer's Mystic Eyes didn't work on him.
Last time I saw him, I beat him to a pulp and left him for dead, nearly getting cut to ribbons in the process. I prioritized my own wounds over making sure the fucker was dead.
Turns out he wasn't. Oops.
Assassin was a Hassan whose Zabaniya let him transform into other Heroic Spirits and gain their abilities. He was limited to other Assassins and the abilities weren't as good as the originals, but it included Noble Phantasms. But since it's a transformation, only one set could be used at a time.

He's just EMIYA with unlimited prana basically; however even with a world of prana, you're still limited to what your circuits can handle per load. Which means he won't be doing stuff like creating a thousand Excaliburs or whatever people imagine.
He's kind of entirely a fanon thing in terms of concept, people know nothing about him so they create unlimited bullshit about him. Nasu has had to crush this type of bullshit before, like when he said what Archer's route was like recently, to shoot down people going all "Wooooah, Fate EMIYA, surely in his version of the grailwar he married Ilya, killed everyone, and the final boss was Nero Chaos somehow". No, it was fairly normal.
He has no official feats as a guardian, and officially we've never seen how guardians fully work or seen them in action outside of the new scenes in UBW anime where he was basically just normal Archer.
End of CCC EMIYA is the strongest version of EMIYA by far; he's at the origin of humanity as a concept that can control time, space, dimension with a thought. He's the origin of black smiths and metal working, can travel faster than light, and other general bullshit. A CG is only so strong, but the origin boost pushes you far beyond your limits to the point of Zero, the origin. He's also the only one who can legit trace Excalibur. Its like forcefully modding your servant almost to the point of burning them out, but their power in that moment can challenge maybe even an Aristotle or strongest of divine spirits.
People don't seem to respect his Origin costume though.

Since Assassin's Master was a serial killer and a bit of a media whore, the first thing he did in the War was murder some random fuck and paint a message addressed just vaguely enough at other Masters in their blood. After a couple more murders-with-messages over the next couple of days and a less-than-successful attempt at provoking him while simultaneously destroying his credibility with spray-painted messages of my own, we managed to encounter him in a very obvious trap that was unfortunately intentionally set up as the best way to take him out. Essentially, he used himself as bait for other Masters, myself in particular. Of course, at the time I had no idea what his Hassan was capable of, and there was this rather unnatural mist in the area we found him...
So of course, he starts the fight by Maria the Ripper-ing Lilith and forcing me to blow my only remaining Command Seal (I burned the first two incarnating Lilith) to force her to stay alive by any means necessary (which in a second is going to lead to explaining Lilith's abilities) and Longinus giving his Shroud NP (the one that resists curses) to his female Master to protect her while he engaged Assassin one-on-one (who had made himself known by attacking and dropping PC only to immediately transform into Kojirou).
Now, Lilith had two separate trump cards outside of her curse magic, one of which she didn't like to use and the other my character had difficulty sustaining due to not actually being a magus. The former was a skill, sort of an in-between between Innocent Monster and Nobunaga's Demon Lord skill that gave her a literal demon transformation. After a couple rounds of saving throws while the rest of us fought, the Command Seal forced a trigger of that to save her life, and she basically soloed Assassin after that. Kind of anticlimactic, but his Master got away. For now.

The following morning, we find out Assassin's Master basically went batshit after his Servant died. He murdered some other random person, and in this blood-message identified my identity as a Master and as a Psychic with a Sealing Designation-worthy ability. Panic ensued, because that would compromise a few Clock Tower magi who were helping me both lay low before this and keep the whole "grail war" thing under wraps from the Clock Tower. In the ensuing panic of getting the hell out of there, Assassin's Master showed up, much worse for wear. Lilith was still injured and both she and Longinus were out of mana. Logninus lent me his Lance to deal with him quickly and efficiently, and thus Assassin's Master was killed.
Now, since that bit of text was short, I'm going to jump back a bit to the enemy Caster before moving on with the story and getting to Rider.
In the days before we tracked down Assassin's Master, Lilith and my character were out making preparations for that spray-paint message I had mentioned earlier, when we randomly encountered the enemy Caster.
Who, as it turns out, was another instance of Lilith, Mother of Demons, summoned by one of the BBEG's other allies, a vampire I really didn't know too much about at the time.
Since it was daytime and her Master was nowhere around, and she was pretty quick to trust herself (because really, who wouldn't be) we were able to have a civil conversation with her, where we learned that she was lied to a little bit by her Master and the BBEG (and from which we were able to deduce that the BBEG would be the Master of Berserker), and we were able to fill her in on the BBEG's plan enough to convince her to become a double agent for us. Mostly because she trusted the other incarnation of herself more than her Master. Not much has had a chance to come out of that yet.

Lancer almost died in that fight too, now that I think about it. I forget if he took a near-fatal Tsubamegaeshi head-on or he took a partially-resisted Delusional Heartbeat. Could have been either. Enemy Hassan was in FSN Hassan form when he died, that I remember.

Super late reply, but I was thinking of just doing a story-driven HGW for my players.
They are very new to Fate, one of which has begun to read the VN and the other one is making due with the anime between classes.
Considering I once tried doing an Apocrypha-style HGW for 7 people at once (they were all on the same team, thank god). They all rolled super high-tier Servants and acted so rowdy that it quickly turned into a comedy game.

So we travel to New Rome a few days later and it's apparent it's just some other town that Caesar has enthralled with, as we learn later, EX-rank Charisma. Longinus fanboys over ROMA a bit, but eventually defers to his Master's disgust over what is basically mind control. As a result, negotiations with Caesar fail (he wants us as allies not just for the rest of the Grail War, but for his campaign of conquest afterwards), but they remain civil enough that we're welcome to stay the day in New Rome in the hopes that we'll change our mind.
Now, I mentioned Saber and Archer early on briefly, but never really mentioned their Masters. Archer's Master I never met (but I knew he was allied to Saber's), but Saber's Master I met a few times, and she was an Enforcer for the Clock Tower. One of my allies in the Clock Tower who was helping me lay low was also the guy she was reporting to in the area, so he managed to intercept her reports back to to the Clock Tower to keep the Grail War under wraps from the higher-ups, but once my identity was compromised by Assassin's Master that plan went up in smoke.
So with that in mind, and cluing myself into the fact that Caesar is plotting against his own Master and the BBEG, I manage to deduce that if Caesar invited us here, he probably invited Saber's and Archer's Masters as well. And they would likely bring an army.
So I try to confront Caesar about this, and find out it's all according to plan. While I leave, I decide to try and assassinate his Master before he has a chance to confront Caesar about much the same, but fail, force him to Command Seal Caesar to his side, and the session ended with the argument about the interaction between two NPs: Caesars, which gives him Authority to create "laws" within "Rome," and Lilith's, which was a Reality Marble where she had Authority over anything considered "magic."

Apparently part of the information that the Grail gives a Servant upon summon was the information that they're technically a copy, and the Servant container is basically made so that they don't really mind that fact if it ever really becomes apparent.
Also, it took place after Rin and Waver dismantled the Grail after either Fate or UBW route (it was nether made clear nor made relevant which), and parts of the ritual became relatively public knowledge following this. In fact, that's how the whole plot started: the BBEG took this information, dug up the rest, and copied the ritual in the US. Not unlike Strange Fake.

He asks if I would like the feeding tube removed but I refuse because I'll never give up hope that he'll one day wake up and smile at me again. Our insurance won't cover him staying at the hospital anymore so I bring him home and lay her on the bed and every day I give him a sponge bath, clean his bed pan, and make sure he gets her nutrition through her feeding tube. Sometimes I like to tickle his feet and she twitches a little and I just know that it is proof that my precious lover is still in there somewhere, just waiting for me to be at his side when she wakes up.

Nah, the way the Grail works, if you summon Big Boss, you might get Venom Snake instead (similar to Benkei or Francis Drake). It might sound lame but his NP could work similar to Iskandar's where he summons all soldiers from MSF or Diamond Dogs (depending on who you summoned). To be fair Nasu Mordred is still regarded as a dick and a rebel, it's just that her Master Kairi found some things to admire about her. He/she had a definite desire to be acknowledged by Arthur even in the real legend, and being told they weren't fit to rule hit Mordred pretty hard. Things probably would have gone better if Arturia made even the slightest attempt to raise Mordred instead of telling her to GTFO, but she was in full non-human all-king mode and didn't even consider Mordred's feelings.

If Rin's pendant can summon Archer, the timeline you're in still has the potential to become the timeline that Shirou becomes Archer. Therefore, Archer's past has to be one where Rin's pendant COULD HAVE summoned Archer, which could not happen if it wasn't present for the summon. Therefore, Shirou can only become Archer in a timeline where Archer was summoned by Rin.

The Throne exists outside of time, but you still need a catalyst that ties to that specific instance of that hero. That's why Shirou summoned Arturia and not Proto Arthur, because Avalon was tied specifically to the Arturia of the past of his own timeline. Similarly, you couldn't summon Aturia in the Proto timeline, because there aren't any catalysts that exist for her because everything related to Arthur is related to Proto Arthur. The catalyst that summons Archer has to be related to him, so it can't be a pendant that can't become his.
Grand Order is an exception because it's using a different system and it seems to imply that Galahad's shield can function as a catalyst for literally any Heroic Spirit.
