Elise takes so long to activate that she's basically a 3/5 with no text. A nerfed Yeti or a Tazdingo without taunt. You need to, on average, draw 27 cards before you can play the monkey.
And the effect of the monkey, if you ever get to see it, isn't even good for you. It breaks your deck's gameplan and synergies and leaves you with random dudes, most of which are not good enough to play on their own.

Yes, it's not for control decks all their cards are too important, but in a midrange deck you can play the monkey from your hand whenever you run out of late game threats against control. Let's say you are playing midrange paladin and you already dropped tirion and boom, between hand and deck let's say you have 10 cards, card draw is now useless and a shielded mini-bot draw will probably lose the game, now you drop a 6/6 taunt and suddenly at least half of your remaining cards will be major threats.
