Arbitrary no-no's such as certain moves cause juggle status in SF4 and some don't. Some moves can juggle, while some can't, etc. There isn't really any logic to them, you just learn by rote that if you land something like a Yang heavy palm, then only a few moves will juggle afterwards.

While I do not agree with the concept of 1F links and having to do funky things like plinking, it is the difficulty of execution that causes mistakes and those mistakes at a high level are what makes those pro matches both enjoyable to watch and technically impressive. When execution gets too easy and no one makes mistakes, there will still be mistakes made at a more fundamental level but those are much harder for the average pleb to see and appreciate.
