Character Lore Post #1 - Meara
Meara is the younger half-sister of Neila and the daughter of Ishaya.
She was born into a nomadic elven tribe which travels through the more remote regions of Tamriel. She is perfectly adapted to survial in the wilds since having been trained in hunting and foraging since her childhood.
Meara and her sister were on their way to Solitude to sell some horses when they were attacked by a dragon. Unfortunately the dragon ate their horses leaving them stranded in Skyrim. They have been trying to earn money to make up for their losses ever since.
Meara has a trickster personality and likes to have fun but never is malicious. She really likes the joys of civilization (houses and gambling) and enjoys the company of people and mead. She has won quite alot drinking contests which earned her quite the amount of money.
She is a very good archer and also quite good with her blades but she prefers a more stealthy approach to problems and generally tries to avoid fighting.
These days she lives in Whiterun but often travels as far as Falkreath on hunting trips.

It's really cool. The best combat I've experienced in Skyrim, and I've tried a lot of different combat mods.
It's slow to start and it's really punishing, but if you want a drastic change of pace from the usual babbyshit, it can be really rewarding. People mostly just hate on it because it's incompatible with a lot of other mods and because memes. But it's worth trying to form an opinion for yourself.

No not really. Requiem is best to left alone, gameplay wise.
You might want to add some Magic mods like Apocalypse, spellcrafting, but i have no idea about the compatibility of most of these mods.
Which is the reason many people dislike Requiem, its almost incompatible with every gameplay changing mods and needs shitloads of patches.
Also keep in mind that mage takes out large amounts of Requiems difficulty . Its easymode, especially destruction. All the new armor and weapon balance changes have no effect if you stand on a stand and freeze someone to death.

I don't even really like MMORPGs and I like this game. I got bored with FFXIV and WoW long before their free trials ran out and uninstalled.
I bought this on GMG for $12.99 a few months ago and just installed it this week when I heard they added controller support. After about 10 hours or so and hitting level 8 I think it's pretty damn good but flawed.

It's Ulfric's fault that the ban on Talos worship is actually enforced in Skyrim, Ulfric is being manipulated and guarded from the shadows by the Thalmor, the Empire as well as Tullius specifically hate the Thalmor and are waiting for an opportunity to strike and win a decisive victory in a second war (and Tullius says as much), and if Ulfric successfully defects the Empire may be fucked and Skyrim is definitely fucked.
