Why don't the fractal weapons actually look good? Only the sword and mace are passable the rest just look like floaty bits of slag.
So what the fuck are Revenants supposed to be, conceptually? Like at first they seem like some kind of oracle class, but then they have heavy armor because of reasons, and then they summon spirits or maybe legends or something. And the best explanation Rytlock ever gives us is 'who gives a shit, let's fight some dragons' like even the writers can't think of a proper way to convey this bullshit.
Is the character slot only for pre-order? I haven't got it yet and I bought HoT a few days after release.

Medium head armors are basically garbage and your only options are nothing, eyewear, or edgy bandit/ninja masks. Gas masks and forgemans allowed if you're an engineer with a flamethrower.

Stop playing condis. You should never have played condis to begin with. If someone around launch told you condis were good, they lied. Berserker dagger reaper has always been the best. Get berserker exotics on your reaper.
Unless you want to spvp, in which case condireaper is the hot new thing, but you don't need gear for that.

Condi reaper is possible, but don't expect greatness. And don't run it in serious fractals.
For WvW go crazy. For stats, mixing Dire (Condi/Toughness/Vitality) and Rabid (Condi/Toughness/Prec) is a very safe and traditional choice. Don't expect full Dire to make your survivability skyrocket (vitality can only do so much), or Rabid to make you kill everything (precision allows you to proc sigils and some more bleeds but that's it).
If you want to be less bunker-y you can use Sinister (Condi/Power/Prec) or Viper(Condi+Power/Prec+CondiDuration) which allow you to deal hybrid damage. Mix those two for PvE. But, again, don't bring that for serious fractals unless you know what you are doing but if you were then you wouldn't be asking would you?
You can mix the bunker gear and the damage gear to your preferences, too, and Celestial is another hybrid option. I wouldn't recommend Celestial for beginners because to deal damage with it you have to know profession mechanics a little more.

Yes, the chill damage is fucking amazing. I would say it is my main source of damage in pvp. I don't know how it's so effective, it doesn't tick that much, but the chill on fear trait combined with your multiple sources of fear and chill in both shroud and on staff, it seems really good.
All I know is that I'm using rabid amulet and when I swap to staff and drop 5324 on someone who doesn't know it's coming, they fucking melt.

Remember, having chillc ombined with BOTH Fear (that also deals damage) ADN blind maximises the damage stack. The less time people have to react the better.
People dont realize that chill does damage and how much, they wont waste a coinditionr emoval on it unless they're trying to run away.

Spite makes a lot of sense because this is a boon converter build. Signets of Suffering is the key part. SoS has literally been the main thing that makes necro playable in PvP for the past half a year, since every other strong class is strong because of how many boons they put on themselves.
Playing the carrion frostfire build and it is very effective. Having your shroud autoattack actually do a lot of damage along with actually being able to generate a lot of life force easily outweighs whatever benefits you get from curses in my previous build.

Necro can tick for less condi while in hybrid build but combined with his crits, the DPS is similar
I haven't done any testing yet but I'm positive necro can at least reach that engie on full viper's

You're giving up greatsword, giving up structure damage, for what? Subpar dps? Ramp up times taht cost you in timed burst phases? Even if the overall dps was better then a zerk reaper it probably wouldn't be worth it, but it isn't.

I've been using Hybrid necro for a week now, it's really fun to use. If you're building with Dhuumfire it's best to focus more on Power than condi in a hybrid build. So no deathly chill.
So after all these Berserker buffs, is the warrior ESpec finally useful and worth grinding out the 250 Hero Points?

You can't really argue with a free 17% damage and whatever the 7/14% of precision to ferocity works out to.
Don't know if it'll be worth it for power PvP since warrior has been pretty reliant on defense and arms and your skill selection has always centered on stances. I guess the new damage talents means dropping strength isn't such a huge damage loss now if you really think any of the berserker skills are worth taking.

How masteries unlock.
Overall I like the Maguuma masteries though there's plenty of filler. Wandering around Verdant Brink the first day was completely different then getting around with updrafts and mushrooms now, and that's cool.
But unlocking them is just so bland. I'm not even too upset by the amount of time required so much as it just purely being an XP grind.
The feature I was most surprised by is Guild Halls. I've always viewed instanced guild halls and player housing as lame but it's actually turned out pretty cool what with all the upgrades and their physical components within the hall.
