CW 2.0 is killing NA clans at an alarming rate. Having to play hours of strongholds just so you can CW is stupid, on top of having to grind tanks for use in SH/CW. And it's not like there's fresh people capable of competent leadership replacing those exiting either, so when there are no good fights the end game dies. Doesn't help that the game is poorly advertised, too new player unfriendly, AW being a viable alternative and grinds too long for the NA audience.

Has this game started ruining shooters for anyone else? Most FPS/TPS feel so barebones now. You don't ever have to take into account that you have a body, and have to position yourself in specific ways. The recoil is laughably low and you don't get punished as hard for using something in a way that doesn't suit it, and at the same time most equipment and choices for guns all feel the same. I'm even starting to appreciate that this game is unbalanced and that the matchmaking system exists as it does.

Oh and taking damage is mostly meaningless because the TTK is so low and even games like Counter Strike have a plethora of rounds. Death is actually important and because of the different classes and roles within classes killing other people and prioritizing targets actually has a significant impact on how a game can turn out. And there is hardly any fluff, all of it is relegated to user mods, even shit meme tanks are still gameplay tools.

The only constant meme only applies to individual games, over long periods of time separation of who is good or not becomes clearer. FPS's have a higher correlation between skill and outcome on a game per game basis but that comes with skill ceiling plateau's and games with less depth besides who can click faster. FPS's really only shine when it comes to unique movement systems that take a lot of mechanical skill to master, and most every one of those games are deader than WoT.
