just set aside one of the chalice tombstones to always lead to 'Dreams of the Past' which takes you to a big circular room with a bunch of fog doors. Each fog door would have an inscription on the side with a bit of backstory for the vanquished boss. The fog doors of each boss all lead to the area you fought them in.

Arcane build stomps all the shit from chalices though and gets some damn good gems thanks to insane item discovery.
Zombies are weak to arcane up to the point my 450 ARC ar cane did like 700 damage per swing.
Beasts are weak to fire up to the point they melt from fire saw.
Ayyys care getting annihilated by lightning damage and lighting axe, cursed level 5 chalice Ebrietas goes down in under a minute from what i remember.
Everything not even counting arcane tools. You can go for BL135 and 99ARC build who will probably annihilate all the shit even from deepest chalices and will deal major damage to anyone in pvp.

Idunno man, I'd been using a saw spear for about two months but only used the cleaver in this past FC. I think the cleaver's dash R1s are better. The only things meme spear would then have over the cleaver is tricked seration and a wide swing tricked R1 which is slow as fuck anyway.
That said, the best for PvE is probably ludwigs or some cheesey pellet+kirk shit.

The moveset is GOAT, in extended form you can combo any attack and it streams together without a pause or break in animation, for example it's the only weapon you can go from a jump attack to a charge R2 without the character doing an animation reset
Plus it's also the only weapon with 3 different charge attacks, which also changes the R2 followup depending on which charge attack you do
Extended moveset is great too, R1's hit high places and boss weakspots easily, R2's for swipes when you need crowd control, spear has a half assed horizontal swing for the first R1 only and a poke for R2, despite the range it's shit for crowd control or pvp without lock on, it has a slightly bigger hitbox though
Saw cleaver is by no means a bad weapon

BLT scales moderately well on the Reiter's shots, and you can get 3 gems to scale it up with as opposed to the one from standard guns.

Yes. The Charged R2 is a pancake machine and the rest of the attacks range from solid to good. Really, I don't feel the need to really explain why it's pretty much one of the top 3 PvE weapons in the game, that moveset should speak for itself. It's got zero bad matchups for bosses and the reach to bully specific body parts and such on many fights.

Hunter's Axe is amazing for mixups. Every single possible mixup has a use and some of it's best properties come from that. What I think you have to realize about HA is that if you're alright with swapping between trick modes often and tactically, it's hard to cope with. It hits as hard as many other slower, longer weapons but outranges all of them. It hits as hard as many of the R1 mashing close range weapons but has big advantages in regain and super armor. I'm not sure I'm explaining myself properly, but being able to flow between forms so smoothly and effectively is huge for me.

I would argue that Burial Blade is overall better for pve and equally good for pvp.

I'm not gonna lie - it's rare, but there's some areas where multiplayer just isn't viable due to how shitty the framerate gets, it's ridiculous. And we're talking extended jerky stuttery drops, not a steady manageable drop.
This is still easily my GOTY for what it's worth, aside from some framerate issues in multiplayer the amount of polish and care in it is staggering. Well worth your time if you find a cheap PS4, and DLC is just around the corner

Projectile speed is slower than on guns so it's fairly balanced. It will be mostly used in pvp for sneak attacks and to pusnish spamers and r2 lovers.
Really want fully charged R2 on SKL build to hit for a good numbers.

Pretty much any of the firearms can do massive amounts of damage if your Bloodtinge is high enough. With Evelyn or the Repeating Pistol especially, you can shred through bosses without even breaking a sweat.
Arcane is also really good. Fire imbued saw weapon + oil urns = laughably high damage.
Not to mention, spamming Executioner's Glove makes most bosses a complete joke.

It's worth noting that hunter tools never drop off in scaling and so every point you can put in Arc increases their damage significantly.

I hope the dlc rebalances/changes some of the existing content.
Empty Phantasm Shell and Auger of Ebrietas might as well not exist.
Hunter's Bone should have a lower 'tap cast' bullet cost with the current duration but if you hold it you can charge it with extra bullets to significantly extend the duration.
Tiny Tonitrus needs to do more damage for its lack of tracking and it's cast animation or the bullet cost needs to go down.
A Call Beyond needs something about it changed since it's better to just Executioner's Gloves over it in almost any scenario.
Choir Bell should do something other than heal since by the time you ring it your co op partners are either dead or already vialed up. Make it purge all status effects (frenzy, poison, being held in stasis by those aliens/witches of hemwick) and buff stamina regen significantly for a while.
Beast Roar, Gloves and Camouflage are the only tools that don't need tweaking imo.

True arcane builds (99ARC) can dish 300-400 HP per hit with this thing while being absolutely safe to parry fishing or interruptions while opponent is always knocked down.

It should work as a sustained effect. First cast activates it and it eats one bullet per 2-3 seconds, second cast deactivates.

And above all we need a way to replenish all bullets and consumables without killing character or going back to Dream. Maybe make hunter marks restore all items from backups or something.

I would be ok with it if
1. it could be cast faster (make the bolt come out fast and move the delay to the recovery period)
2. The bolt of lightning curved slightly (keyword: slightly) to track your lock on target
3. it cost 3 or 4 bullets
any one of those would make it worth using but as it is.
A Call Beyond does more damage and tracks for only 2 more bullets (and can randomly hit things with it's aoe) and A Call Beyond isn't even good either.

I have a strong inclination to believe that it's going to be a Dragon Torso Stone-style thing where one use of the item transforms you into a beast and using it while transformed does that special roar. It's the only way I can think of that they could attach that kind of functionality to a character who is using a weapon that we already know doesn't have a button for that.
Well, they could make it the untricked->tricked transformation attack since the claws don't have one at this point, but that would make the beast change an extension of the claws trick mode, which seems less likely.

It's all the Healing Church, just some of their hunters wore different garb / acted differently. But yeah the whites were generally more about medicine and help while the blacks were more about culling the sickness.
Micolash is, seemingly, the head of the school of Mensis, which seems to be a past part of the church / byrgenwerth gone awry, who gained council with a great one via nightmares.
Cainhursts have many questions surrounding them, all left unanswered. But one could speculate they have some sort of relation to the Pthumerians, as they are ancient, have distinct things within chalices, and their enemies are recycled deep in chalices. Almost all things regarding Cainhursts are speculation though.

It doesn't change the interpretation at all, though. There's still that very noticeable delay between Wetnurse dying and the Nightmare Slain message popping up; it doesn't pop up the instant Wetnurse explodes, like it does with most bosses, but instead waits for Mergo to stop crying, so it still strongly suggests that Mergo is the nightmare being slain rather than his Wetnurse.
Is there any evidence Mergo is related to the coming of MP? Because if there is anything, it could mean Laurence is involved with Mergo / Yharnam

All you need to do to be proficient and not get your shit pushed in is follow this rule:

BACKWARDS
Always dodge either into the enemy, or to the side. Most enemies in the game have chain attacks that continiously launch them forward, so by dodging backwards you're simply making it easier for them to chain you. If you dodge into them or to the side, they go past you and you can swerve and punish their chain.

Armour is mainly for looks in BB.
There are some sets you will find throughout the game which offer specialities in certain areas more than others (fire resistance, poison resistance, frenzy resistant, higher beasthood stat, higher item discovery).
For now I wouldn’t worry too much about armour defence stats so early on in the game.
Just go for aesthetics.

It's possible. We need more spelunkers. I've got a BL98 Hunter Axe guy with nearly perfect Gems and his entire purpose is spelunking and fightclubs. I'm gonna do as much spelunking as possible. Imagine if there's a ring of betrothal type item hidden inside Lower Loran or Hintertombs. What if they intentionally hid an NPC or use for the Yharnam stone that's only set to appear in a tiny-tiny fraction of chalices with the intent that once we find it once or twice, we'll distribute the glyphs online etc to share it with the community.I try to remain hopeful, but sometimes I feel like we've seen almost everything there is to see aside from smaller stuff like "large nightmare apostle in a chalice!"

Could just be that "Moon Presence" appears over the boss bar because that was the best name your character could come up with for it, "the thing that came from the moon just now." It could have an actual name that just isn't revealed during the game, or it could have no name at all.

So far, I seem to keep going to 120 because I see no reason not to go to 120 if I'm going past 98 ever.

I guess 80? My finished builds consist of two 43s, two 80s, two 98s and one 146, which was also my first playthrough character. I'm working on a 70 chicago build but it's slow going because bloodtinge, and I'm planning another 98 for the DLC.
80s and 43s are for invasions, 98s for FC/Mensis duels, and the 146 for absolutely nothing, I only finished getting him gems and shit grudgingly. It's a 50/50 str/arc wheel build so the appeal of actually playing it is slim at best.
I don't know, maybe I should do some hizz PVP with it. They've got 150s there, don't they? Might as well put that farming to use.
