Her eyes (except for the center image) seem a bit too large. Large eyes are supposed to portray innocence, which would fit toriel, except it's meant for innocence in a young/child like way. Toriel teetering on the edge of being grandmother-like, would have gentle, yet much smaller eyes to reflect her age.

Nah I getcha. I tried to simplify her design to the bare essential shapes.I liked on the leftmost picture to see how it looked. It gives her a nice silhouette, but it can be distracting too, which is why I softened it up with the sketch on the right.

In all fairness Chara's character is very up to interpretation. But pre-game Chara, the way I saw them, was just a fucked up kid who wanted to die.

Decide on your strength and go from there. Writing in second person (I assume you meant that, not first) isn't an easy feat: you need to engage the reader on all their senses while simultaneously not assuming too much about them (i.e. jarring them out of the story by making them say/do something that would be so out of character for them to do). It results in a story that's a lot more about what the reader is perceiving rather than what the reader is doing. It can be extremely intimate/immersive, but it also leads to the story mostly about being acted upon rather than anything else. Also, there's a tendency to start too many sentences with "you" (similar trap to first person and "I").
TL;DR: If you're confident with second person/insert writing, go for it. But third person is the easier perspective to write in.

Mechanically speaking, it's actually pretty balanced and less garbage than a lot of RPG maker games. It's pretty interesting and there's a good plot, just know that it's something like 90% bad feelings and depressing shit, 10% dark humor to soften the blow at times.

If we're talking realistically here, then yeah, Frisk alone wouldn't be enough help, but it's a start. I wasn't even able to recognize my problems for what they were until I had people around who understood.
Back to the game though, this is why I say it's very much up to interpretation. It's a perfectly valid read of the plot if you think that Chara is pure evil at the start and only a completely pacifist Frisk can resist their influence. I like to think that riding along with Frisk on the true pacifist path would help Chara find closure, though.

LISA The First was made as a kind of homage to Yumi Nikki (which you should also play if you haven't) and is more about exploring a surreal tale of abuse. The Painful is different that it has combat and is a lot longer. Higher bit graphics, great soundtrack https://youtu.be/J4rwPoRITlI and a feeling of scarcity in a world gone insane. 99% of fights can only be done once, so there's no farming and exp and money (porno mags) are valuable. Once you kill something, it's dead forever. They have their own sprites and combat tactics. Also, your party can perma-death.
It's like Undertale that it has a clash of sillyness and real personal problems that isn't outright told to you. There's lore that you have to piece together. The Joyful is the third game and just spells everything out for you.
It's worth it. I spent days combing the wiki after finishing. Doesn't have the meta that Undertale has, but a great story. Don't spoil yourself on it and play it blind.

You can go Genocide first route.
You dont need to do a full reset from the start of the game to do a Pacifst route.
If you havent killed anything up to defeating Asgore, after you defeat Flowey and he tells you "you could get a happier ending" you just load up the save and go to Alphys lab to get Undyne´s call and voila Pacifism route AKA "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK APLHYS" AKA "Flowey True End" route.
