I wouldn't worry about their ability to write a story more in depth than Skullgirls, but I don't expect much from Indivisible's story anyway as long as the gameplay is fun. Better to just throw together a bunch of tropes, put a spin on them, and have a fun stupid cliched filled time than try get a story done "professionally" and you end up with something more lame and hackneyed than it would've been otherwise.

Basically just look at the way Blizzard's stories used to be and how they are now. They weren't especially great before, but they were still fun and served to move along the gameplay well. Now they want their stories to be taken seriously, and they just end up with an awful mess.

The people who have already donated and donated more have probably spent as much as they're able to, but the people new to the campaign probably spent less the first time and so they'd have a chance to upgrade if they needed to.

Plus more and more people are hearing about the campaign for the first time. Because of the extension, people naturally will ease off a bit, but when it comes crunch time again, they'll be there. Even though the pace has slowed since yesterday, the pace it's at right now isn't too bad, though it would be nice if it could just reach goal as soon as possible.

It is nice, but as said there are games that actually do teach you this stuff, optionally or otherwise, and Skullgirls is not one of the, it's just something that you might look into outside of the game itself. Personally, you could probably teach kids or adults with any game as long as it fits the criteria for the class and they learn something. Even Unreal Engine has a whole educational program which is even more valuable since you can make anything with it. It's like having students watch a movie or doing a hands-on project. Keeps things fun, interesting, and you have their full attention and can feed them information much more easily than if you had them do questions/answer at the end of every chapter in their textbooks. Textbooks have their uses, but they shouldn't be a crutch, otherwise we wouldn't need teachers.

If they lay out stretch goals during the campaign and slacker backers are able to somehow fund them after the campaign has ended, then fine. It's not going to be advertised like the campaign was and they aren't going to be constantly telling people to donate to get more features.

Even if they keep the paypal open for the entire development of the game, I doubt it will be so successful that they can keep checking off stretch goals. They lost money making Skullgirls, Mike said he was out of pocket 45 grand so any extra stuff they added beyond what they promised was not because they received a ton of money after the campaign from slacker backers.

No wonder there is so much misinformation here. They are keeping a lid on the topic of stretch goals until it's way closer since they don't want to get ahead of themselves too prematurely for multiple obvious reasons.

What little they said was if this game at least met the base goal then they can keep the campaign open via the "In Demand" feature in IGG to meet some more "stretch goals" benchmarks if there were any that didn't get meet. I guess I wasn't clear on what I meant then. I know that stretch goals will be laid out when they get close to their goal, they won't be something that is made after the campaign has ended as a separate campaign (which is what I thought you were implying initially). This is done to encourage people to push beyond their initial target before time is up, but them being fulfilled afterwards by slacker backers is not something that I think will be tremendously likely given how hard we've had to push to fund this thing while it was being hyped up by so many parties.

honestly not the easiest you could have chosen for a first, but I made the same "mistake" and overcame it, so keep it up.
The combo is actually relatively simple. When I started to understand it, I stopped trying to press the inputs I saw on the screen and looked at the pattern. Once I took the time to understand the tutorial wasn't giving me something really high level, I stopped trying to rush all the inputs and just kept them constant, almost with a beat to it. It got frustrating cause I tried to completely autopilot, so LP>MK>HP>LP>MK>HP make me thing I was going to do another LP once I landed, so i failed at the s.LK. But eventually I kept the state of mind during the combo to remember which input was next and soon enough the combo just came out. Still don't like playing parasoul, fukua was so much easier All the latter tutorials have less inputs so this is pretty much the last hill to climb.

Been playing more of the indivisible prototype, gotta ask: what variable properties are there for each move that could be used to make the moveset of every incarnation a unique asset to a team? Like leading with Tungar's down>Razmi down has been my goto for single enemies because Tungar's pulls them in and Razmi can use her slow without having to trek half a mile. Then there's damage, Iddhi build, attack meter stuff, all that jazz. What else is taken into consideration?
Another question, against one or two enemies or big bad, I can focus on making sure all my attacks hit and lead to net gain for me, but against giant groups of enemies, I lose track of which moves will catch the ones I want to hit and just default to DPS and crowd control moves, i.e. Razmi and Tungar's up. What's the optimal way to approach the situation?
Lastly how to kill that fucking cat

You can't really affect the gameplay with a donation. But if you like Lab Zero stuff aside from the game, then any tier from 75 and upwards have a lot of extra shit that you can enjoy.

Also, if the game gets funded, they are open to suggestions and will do frequent dev streams, so there is a chance they will listen to advice you may have. In that case, any donation that brings them close to succeeding is worth it.

Of course, if you donate 20 grand, you can have dinner with them and tell them to their faces what you think they should do!

launching and attacks that hit high will be more important when they add a reward for air juggles.

Talking about how long it takes Razmi to run over for her down attack, I'm sure there will be heroes that are really fast and easy to use with a high run speed and short attack startup, and some others who are the opposite but have a higher payoff if you can time your attacks so the slow ones will hit (I'd really love if George had a Dragoon Jump that did more damage if the enemy was in the air when he collided with them)

The game industry in general suffers from this mindset.

You got these actors/actresses/athletes/talk-show hosts in the entertainment sector, etc. that all make the big bucks because we give it to them, but programmers, artists, video game musicians, and all the other tech/game jobs don't deserve their money even when they put more hours into their jobs. Their 'entertainment' services are not viewed at the same level of value even though their work engages customers, entertains them, and keeps their attention for longer periods of time.

It seems like celebrities and people who are already successful seem to deserve their money, but anyone who isn't famous yet needs to suffer 24/7 at a 'real job' otherwise they don't deserve to get paid.

Look at the Japanese. The world thinks those guys are workaholics who get so much more accomplished than someone working at a 9-5 job in the west. Except that toward the end of the day (the last 3 or 4 hours at work), they just bullshit around and look busy because it looks bad if they go home before their boss does.

We need to change this mindset that working a real job means suffering and hating it. Just because your job sucks, doesn't mean everyone else's should too. Work is work. People who do work deserve to get paid for the services or products they provide.

No one asks a plumber or electrician to to set up or repair systems out of the kindness of their heart or love for what they do. Why should anyone else?
