I have been on dozens of anti-depressants over the course of 6 years and none of them made any difference. That's a shitty cycle and it happened to me nonstop in college. My mom worked nights and both grandmas worked nights, so I guess it's in the blood to stay awake till the sun comes out. Or some caveman shit.
I tried prescriptions but one made me sleep walk and the other gave me shit yourself night terrors. I tried herbal teas and melatonin. Working out, yoga. Nothing worked.
Id be able to correct it temporarily by staying up for 2 or 3 days straight, and eventually your body just crashes out and you can goto bed at 8-10. But then you got to set an alarm for like 7am. If you wake up at 4pm, you're wasting your time and body.
Stop trying to goto bed at midnight, I've got unscientific theories that after about 10, your mind gets a second wind like Nightgaurding the community or something. I feel like I'm minorly addicted to staying up late still to this day, but by going to bed at 10 at the latest I'm okay. Occasionally on weekends I "relapse" and goto bed between 2-6 but force myself up at 9am.

One thing I have to let everyone ITT know is to not be ashamed of service jobs. Tips are fucking amazing. I used to work at Benihanas and tips there are GARBAGE and I'd still come home with around 3k a month and half of it untaxed. Young and without experience for as easy as that is isn't bad at all. Don't get STUCK there but serving is definitely the best min wage job. Move up to bar tending if you can. My friend makes $400 a night in tips working a gay bar on weekends

We've been together now for 6 years with no sign of fucking up. We both had bad family lives and our main is to have kids that aren't mentally messed up, were both very smart but pretty awkward, did bad in school and used to have no confidence.
