My experience in EDF4 was that I shouldn't use fencer until a certain point.
But my personal feelings are I will be using fencer for 4.1 right off the bat and just grit my teeth as I try to get my sensitivity set right so I can do boost melee hits on the fly.

When you're playing online, it doesn't matter who picks up what box or armor or weapons, at the end of the game, everyone gets whatever was picked up. Usually you would leave one enemy alive and have the Wingdiver go around and pick everything up at the end of a level.
So don't get your panties in a wad if someone jumps on a item before you.

the issue was as you said, they didn't have 70 missions, just 16 which felt incomplete because you get left with a cliff hanger.
they could have easily added more missions even as DLC, but they didn't.
I can't help but feel like the idea for classes with unique weapons and abilities started with insect armageddon, because as soon as the real sequel to EDF came out it had similar shit but with much expanded content.
