I've waited tables at two restaurants, one where a meal was ~$50 and another where it was well into the three digits. At the first restaurant average tip was right around 20 percent, at the second one it could be anywhere from 5 percent to 50, if i had to pick an average i'd say 30-35 percent. Rich people love to throw money around, then again we did provide really great ass kissing service and we had a lot of regulars who we gave free drinks and shit to and acted as secret wingmen when they brought dates
