Calm down you defensive autist. I didn't say you had to tip 20 percent. I said it wasn't unreasonable, and it was closer to the baseline. No one's going to think you're an asshole for tipping 15 percent.
I've waited tables at two restaurants, one where a meal was ~$50 and another where it was well into the three digits. At the first restaurant average tip was right around 20 percent, at the second one it could be anywhere from 5 percent to 50, if i had to pick an average i'd say 30-35 percent. Rich people love to throw money around, then again we did provide really great ass kissing service and we had a lot of regulars who we gave free drinks and shit to and acted as secret wingmen when they brought dates
