You can get around most everything but animation and some shitty models (notably terrain features) with mods. NVR and FCO both do a good job of fixing the faces and there are plenty of texture packs. New Vegas definitely does gunporn 1000x better than Fo4.

The fact is, when one chooses the Legion over NCR, they intend for some folks, necessarily, to face the extremes of suffering against their will so that the majority won't have to deal with the inconvenience of taxes or run the risk of being attacked by raiders (which they'd have a hell of a better chance against than Caesar's government, should they choose to resist)

The only way to reduce radiation as far as I know is to artificially increase it's half life (the length of time it takes radioactivity to reduce by half) each element has radioactivity and therefore a half life (carbon dating works this way by testing how much radiation the specimen has, from that you can work out how many times it's radioactivity has reduced by half and hence, how old it is)
Basically by reducing radiation in a substance you cause it to fade away faster, to degrade. Theoretically whatever device that reduces radiation in water would simply cause it to cease to exist, so no, it isn't removed and stored somewhere like Bethesda and this fucking Todd cock sucker poster seems to think in that image.

My main issue with the game. Love the world, the exploration, the gunplay, companions are better than they've ever been, but you can only interact with all of it in a YES/NO/SARCASTIC YES/ASK WHY YOU SHOULD SAY YES format.
Doesn't help that the voice actor for the protag sounds like a dipshit if male, and a robot if female.

I always do both and basically play an edgy version of me. Sort of how I'd like other people to perceive me. By the time I killed Benny I already felt like I was a part of that world and had my own motives to act on after having my revenge.
I find self-inserting like this to be the easiest in the RPGs, never could get into making crazy characters with a very specific, strong theme. I'd just always get bored of them because they felt alien.
Self-inserting is terrible for replaybility though, my subsequent playthroughs are almost always the same as the first one.

I recommend you leave this one off and save your game before entering the Silver Rush for the first time so you can see how it is in vanilla, then turn it on so you can see the scene in all its cut glory
