You should. There's a lot of references to older kirby games. Sure, it might be a slightly different Triple Deluxe, but it's still good. Also, no. Amiibos are optional. You don't even need them to unlock content. You can get the Smash ability in secret rooms and the UFO ability after getting 100%.
