NG2 is still the king of dismemberment. Limbs flying all over the place and shit was the coolest thing.

NG2 is one of the only games where dead enemies and their dismembered limbs are scattered across the battlefield after a fight. It's one of the coolest things about the presentation of the game.

Left 4 Dead 2 had really neat gore.

Bloodrayne did a lot of things wrong, but dismemberment was downright gratuitous in that game.

Die By the Sword is the best out there.
Mostly because you can pick up somebody's severed limb, and slap them around with it.
But in general, there's just no game that has matched this one, in the satisfaction you get from a clean swing that decapitates your adversary.
