If you played FF13, just go into 13-2 and LR to finish the whole thing.
FF13 games progressively get better so it's only upwards from FF13-1.
After that, FF7 with Reunion retranslation.
Just make sure to play it retranslated as original FF7 "translation" is abysmal.

FFVII was my first FF, and I played it years ago on PS3. Had fun, but I'd rather experience new titles than revisit ones I've played in the last decade or so.

Just off the top of my head:
- in 1080P, the hint text on each monster's status page doesn't show up.
- if you alt-tab out and back in, your gamepad controls will stop working. I eventually figured out that I could make it to a save point with the keyboard, but before that, I was resetting the game because I thought it was my only option.
Of course PC is a fickle goddess, and I can't claim my experience is the norm for everyone else. But for me it was bugged. Not enough to ruin the game, but still.

Worked fine for me, either you're using some outdated pirate version that wasn't patched, or you're using some 3rd party form of antialiasing that's known to break text rendering in some games, FF13 included.
