IIRC, player Mormon did the first Teams tourney, and I'm glad he did, it was fun as fuck. Everyone spammed 'Sorry' out of habit but you could easily ignore it.
Up until the good players decided to look at it in a competitive way.
Due to the nature of teams, people 'accepted' more competitive settings, Brackets, Friendlies (Spooky vs. VenomRoy), and Power Rankings.
This LITERALLY requires people to let themselves be known. 'Hey, I am Manko! I'm a good player'
And it is how we ended up here. From bo7's rant, Spooky & Jarret's cheating test, Custom enforcers.

Yeah, his pogo being gone was kind of a drawback but his biggest nerf was his backair getting so much endlag now. That was honestly one of our best moves.

Oh yeaahh, that was the other thing. In Brawl, chaining like, 4 bairs off of a zair was bread and butter stuff, being able to do only one air move per short jump really hurt Tink. That being said, kudos to you and your devotion.

Well it was more like 1-2 uptilts depending on the character's weight/fall speed into a series of bairs off stage, but zair could be a mixup afterwards too. I'm pretty sure most of it wasn't true but hell, it was so satisfying pulling off.Don't worry, I'm still learning others too.
Okay, that's it for me, Lamato, amazing games. It's pretty obvious you're way better than me, all of these wins can be attributed to the fact that Villager is a pretty stupid character.
