Thinking of getting a psp off of ebay to play Castlevania Dracula X chronicles, which has SoTN after you beat the game I think. Is the version of SoTN on this any good, same for the actual game. I could play SoTN on ps3, which I might do and forget about this, it's an option though so I thought I'd ask, my main aim is playing SoTN though

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the SotN port. You do have to unlock it, but it doesn't take much progress in the remake in order to do so.
I bought the game for SotN and then ended up largely ignoring it in favor of the remake. It's a lot better than I expected.

Also I might just get Dracula X and SoTN, only £8 each and I thought I was gonna be paying £17 for Dracula X before I realised I could download it.

the playable version of maria in the psp is completely different from the sega saturn.
Sega Saturn Maria was a kung fu summoner while PSP Maria is a girl who just do summons for everything.

The PSP has CFW and cheaper memory cards. That's the only advantage to it over the Vita.
Also, Castlevania Dracula X is good. The original PC-Engine version of Rondo is fantastic too, you really must play it.

The 1000 and 2000 versions have a lot of more ghosting on the screens. The last OFW update makes the colors on the 3000 more vivid at the cost of more noticiable pixels. Also, the 3000 has additional ram and it makes some custom apps and emulators run better.
The Go has a much better screen than all of those and build up memory of 16 GB but it has no UMD support so your only option is going digital.

The Dracula X version of SotN is by far the best version, it includes Maria mode from the Saturn port (though not the bonus areas, but they sucked anyway) and a re-translation that doesn't suck. The horrible original lines and VA is fun and all, but it loses it's novelty pretty quickly.
