It's a raising sim. Basically the core gameplay revolves around looking at charts of stats and planning your daughter's schedule each month to raise those stats. There are a few rpg-inspired elements, such as the adventures, which are reminiscent of old Final Fantasy games.
The story for PM2 is you are a wandering swordsmen who stumbles upon a kingdom which is under attack by The Prince of Darkness, who was divinely ordained to destroy the kingdom for its decadence, Sodom and Gomorrah-style. You defeat him in single combat and force him to retreat back to the underworld. The king rewards you by giving you a salary, allowing you to stay, and vowing to change his ways. Then, a God calls to you one night and gives you a young girl to raise as your own, seeing you worthy of the task.

machine tl with no editing level bad in some cases, which if youve used a machine tl, you know how bad those can be sometimes. Others are badly editted, there are a handful of properly done lines, and the UI is mostly done, items i think were done for the most part. But beyond that, events which are 90% of the game are a huge/hit and miss, with most of the events being un-translated beyond the early years. So have fun guessing if youll ruin a friendship or not

I was really interested in making a game where the parent is still adventuring while trying to raise a daughter.
Takes place in a settlement on the edge of the known world. During the beginning you're on hard times, living out of a cardboard box and drinking puddle water. As you find or buy furniture it improves your quality of life, opens up new interactions/skills, and lets you adventure for longer periods of time. Also while upgrading parts of your home is really expensive you might have to live off of the weird alien resources that you didn't sell the week before, keeping your healthy but providing weird bonuses to your and your kid's development.
