How many levels of irony are we operating on right now?
For real, I tried them in the recent free demo (let's you play the practice modes), and whilst they're not as trash as people make out, it's pretty janky and unnecessarily confusing.

once you understand how it works, it works really well. The controls do exactly what you tell them to as long as you understand how to tell them. There is not much ambiguity, which is a mark of good controls (and why Batman games have shit combat controls).

I don't know, SF0 doesn't seem to have any reason to not use the second stick for it's camera rather than forced motion controls instead. Plus, I found myself frequently unable to pull of a barrel roll when I tried (and vice-versa).
KI:U just hurt my hand, but that's more the fault of the 3DS I suppose.
Splatoon doesn't belong here, though. Not sure aboutStar Successor for I haven't played it.

Some people have trouble holding the 3DS while playing Uprising. I just put the right side of the console on my right knee. But there's no denying that the controls let you aim faster and better than analogs.
