It's a direct example of beauty in simplicity. Battleborn as a game, and it's character designs, tries to dance with too many elements at once. That's what makes the Battleborn designs feel so poorly thought out and cluttered while Overwatch feels more thoughtful and sleek despite the characters having similar amounts of 'drawn' detail. Same goes for the gameplay of both.
Overwatch takes basic concepts and evolves them. Battleborn tries to stick as many 'cool' elements as possible on everything and only achieves a cluttered mess.

Here is my 2 cents to fixing the picture would take more time than it is worth
First the 2 little robots need to go. Second that Robot running away needs its mouth closed and the right arm fixed and the right leg pulled back a little so it doesnt look like it is about to be shoot off. Third the flying robot thing is position horribly and looks like it is just hovering there needs to turned. My god the flare off the thrusters and flash of the gun need to go or really be fixed. The Owl needs to moving the other direction with the robot running away. The background really needs to be decluttered. The plant on the far right needs to go and the shadowing needs to be reworked. Even with how much bad stuff I hear about this game, I actually still want it more than Overwatch, although I do want to play both.
There's just something about a hero-shooter with a campaign that gets me pumped up. I have bad internet connection but since battleborn can be played offline where you can actually unlock stuff and make some kind of progression like you do in multiplayer, for me that's just way more reliability and replayability.
