The only mini console that would work would be one that does EVERYTHING the original did.
Exactly why the second-round Wii's and the mini were so crap: no more GC compatibility for no good reason. The former being nearly a scam because they looked like regular Wii's but were minimalist.
This is why I stockpile PS2's.

Yes. I won't buy an old PS2 because I know first hand what the failure rate is like, however I do want to own one again. Plus HDMI will be a huge boost.

Either way if you want a nostalgia cashgrab like the mini NES you need to sell a PS1 mini, that would actually sell, everyone and their mom still has and can easily find a cheap PS2.
