1351 Vaporeon and 1149 Snorlax are my highest, and the rest are sub-900 shit because I'm a candy and dust jew.

Of course, there's the thing (which I think a most people know about) where you hoard candy for pokemon that are cheap to evolve (12 candy), then catch a bunch of them, pop a lucky egg, and evolve them all for 1000 exp each while your egg is up. Caterpie, Weedle, and Pidgey all evolve for 12 candy.
When you're fighting a high level gym, you can kill the weaker bottom bitch pokemon and run in order to chip away at its prestige and avoid going 8 on 6.
Common sense, but cycle short distance eggs in your infinity incubator and use your limited incubators (if you have them) for high distance eggs (if you have them).

Not much to catch around here.
I saw an Abra outside today. I chased it in the rain for 20 minutes only for it to run away. Thanks to the 3 footprints glitch I have no clue where anything is anymore, and God knows the radar will pulse green regardless of the direction you walk in. Had to reset the game 3 times because I'm learning a friend didn't know what he was talking about when he said the power saver mode doesn't freeze up your game.
Admit it, this game would easily be a 2/5 if it didn't have pokemon in it. Gyms are retarded, there are more glitches than gameplay mechanics, and there is little to no rhyme or reason to anything about this game. Hell the throwing poke balls to the circle timing is even fucked.

My neighbourhood isn't too bad - if I go for a 20 minute walk I can probably hit about 6-7 pokestops. However, if I drive into downtown or catch public transport there I can pretty much fill up an empty bag in like an hour. Lures are pretty much set 24/7 in busy areas and there are just tonnes of people walking around on their phones or just sitting on benches and stuff playing.

Yeah, taking them is easy, but the people who live around me are fast as fuck. There's a post office which is a gym about 2 minutes from my house and I walked there, took it over, and then halfway to walking back to my house it was already re-taken by Valor. Do they appear in the same approximate locations? A crash ate my Magnemite capture, but after relaunching and going back to the exact spot, it reappeared, but maybe that's only for less rare pokemon.
I'd go back for the Dratini since it's not far from my house, but fuck that if there's almost no chance of it reappearing.

Can't visit gyms because the app freezes from the apparent graphical intensity. Can't catch pokemon because the app drops connection or desyncs when they're captured and doesn't register. UI regularly disappears for no reason when trying to interact with anything. GPS doesn't properly register distance to pokemon. The game is literally unplayable. I don't know if it's my phone is to blame, or my mobile provider is just absolute shit, but the past week has seen a steady increase in glitching and crashing.
I'm not even mad, because I already expected something like this. It's only been a week, but it's just not fun anymore.

Specifically leaderboards, trading, battling, customization for trainers and gyms, new Pokemon, special events for legendaries, new Pokemon updates, and most important of all a far more advanced algorithim for Pokemon spawning than what's already available

Hoard candy to mass evolve with a lucky egg.
Buy a 10.000mAh powerbank and you can stay outside for up to 8 hours without having to recharge at home.
If you have high level friends who play this game, hang out with them. they will cause rare shit like evolved things to spawn and you can catch them as well. Yesterday i hung out with some people from my faction who where alot lower and a Golduck spawned, most of them caught it and it became their highest CP pokemon by quite a large margin.

Most electric types are pretty ass though, Magneton barely reaches 1400CP at level 23, electrabuzz is the same and he usually gets fighting moves instead of electricity moves, That leaves Electrode and Raichu which are too rare in my area and i only have 1 Voltorb and Pickachu.

Eevee only requires 25 candies but levels up more then most pokemon who require 50 for a 1 stage evolution. Especially vaporeon, a 500CP eevee can turn into a 1300 Vaporeon, while a 500CP psyduck will turn into a 1000CP golduck and requires 50 candy.

Some pokemon have an inherent higher CP then others. Snorlax for example can go up to 1800CP on level 22 when all your others barely reach 1400.
Snorlax and Lapras are 2 of the high CP potential that you can get out of 10KM eggs.
Vapereon and Arcanine are also 2 who can get pretty high with only 1 evolution.
Alot of the 2 evolution step guys are high CP potential as well but are more difficult to catch because your need so many of them.

The area where I live is filled with zubat and drowzee, also ghastly, but they're rarer.
A few kilometres off to south, there is an area full of pidgey, spearow and rattata. One kilometre to west has onyx and ghastly, also some zubat.

All gyms have levels, 1 to 10, for every level 1 person can put a pokemon in there.
Training or the "Fighting my own team" increases the gyms expierence and eventually the level, once the levels goes up you can place a pokemon in there.
Once you take over a gym from another color, 3 people can put their pokemon in there, if they want to add more they will have to train the gym.

There is some variance in the pokemon you encounter, once you get a higher CP you can encounter evolved pokemon out in the wild more frequently. There are also grass patches which have rare pokemon spawn at random times. in town i found spots where Electrabuzz and Pinser spawns, caught 3 of each so far.
