How is it so good /v/? Who's excited for the new Deus Ex?
I'm really only excited for some of that sweet sweet fucking Ed Harrison soundtrack on that challenge mode thing.
My taste is so fucking highbrow.
>>345300631
I'm glad Michael McCann is still the composer. HR soundtrack was heavenly good
btw replaying hr right now and still finding new stuff after like 5-6~ playthroughs over the years. like those two women stilling on the toilets discussing how sarif nearly killed adam and "if only he knew how close he got"
i really think mankind divided will outshine the original deus ex
>>345301029
You'd have to be retarded to think that, sorry.
>>345300450
>that grammar
>pre-orders games
No surprise there, t b h
it's pretty incredible how 16 years on deus ex still gets daily threads on v.
>>345301424
>being poor
>doesn't contribute to thread
>posts memes from reddit
Also I'm concerned about daytime. HR had like only one small level and only because there were no artificial lights in the middle on the ocean so it only made sense to make panchaea a daylight level
>>345301604
>not being mindless with money means being poor
Again, you're an idiot f a m
Help guys, I'm on the third mission, Hell's Kitchen and while exploring the level, i somehow managed to get to the end of it, without doing all the other side stuff (apartment, the ton, sewers, etc.) and now I can't go back.
I can't jump up on the broken stairway and I can't jump back on the ladder leading to the roof, I'd need the legs upgrade.
If I restart the level using the cheat I spawn without any items.

>wow you didn't listen to total biscuit??? he said pre-orders are evil!! you can't even spell!!!
yes I'm an idiot for supporting my favorite game of all time. idiot and proud I might add
>>345301895
Actually you misspelled "disappointed" and "its"
>introduces total biscuit to the conversation
What the fuck are you talking about?
>>345299545
>Who's excited for the new Deus Ex?
me
>gunplay is total ass at the start
>pick up a laser mod
>breeze through the entire game with only a 10mm and a GEP gun
>>345301849
God dammit, so even a game like this has stupid shit in it
>>345302013
Fuck off to reddit retard.
there you have a capital F and a dot
>>345302107
>dot
It's a period. Also I have no idea where you got reddit from.

>miss sidequests
>"wow the game is stupid"
>>345301029
That might be a stretch. Then again, it's my favourite game of all time
>>345301895
Don't worry about it. It's your money, do whatever you want with it
>>345302014
Me too!
>>345302027
I prefer stealth honestly. It's such a great series to stealth through
>>345302076
No game is perfect
>>345302160
I bet you like witcher
>>345302209
I hate it. The combat, for different reasons in each game, is absolutely awful.
It's a borefest s m h
I finished Deus Ex 1 twice and the only thing I care about MD is Bob.
hope it's will actually be out in august. devs are too silent recently or maybe they are actually hard at work polishing it. also what happened to sarifs voice actor
>>345302209
Speaking of the Witcher, who's excited for that other cyberpunk game they're making? I'm very skeptical of it, but I'll probably buy it anyway, because cyberpunk is my favourite fantasy genre
>>345302378
don't forget to buy it on gog.com
>>345302160
I'm not complaining about missing sidequests, I'm complaining about points of no return which make no sense like for instance a ladder which starts at the waist level and is impossible to climb.
Also I didn't say the game was stupid, you extremist teen, I said the game has stupid shit in it, and that is stupid shit.

It could be good anon
I really hope they dont fuck up the new. Im most worried about a technical fuckup I guess.
I wont be getting it on release because I dont want to get burned, but I do hope its good. Human revolution was pretty good. Not as good as the first one, but still pretty good.
>>345303303
Have you played invisible war?
Never could get into the original.
I think it's because it reminded me too much of ghost in the shell and I couldn't really dig the bland conspiracy fluff.
>>345303468
>bland conspiracy stuff
I respectfully disagree anonghost in the shell is my favourite anime too lol
>non-lethal Typhoon
>non-lethal wall smash takedown
>most obviously every boss can be talked down
i am excited but i will wait for more.
don't preorder.
>>345301029
That's really dumb to think. I mean I would love for that to be true obviously cause that would make it one of if not, the best game of all time, but there is just no possible way that'll be the case.
>>345299545
>Who's excited for the new Deus Ex?
It looks like complete garbage. Like generic cover based "stealth" shooter with some press-X-to-be-awesome abilities.
>>345303586manga was better
Yeah it's all up to personal taste but the intrigue wasn't very intriguing and i'd rather read the prince and some Cold War history than play it.
I hate to use the phrase "it hasn't aged well" but it's the best way to describe the gameplay at this point. Most of the facets are a bit ubiquitous in a diverse set of games to interest me in its packaging.
>>345301029
There is literally no way that will ever happen but I appreciate your enthusiasm and hype. God bless. Have a (you).
>>345302209
Hey faggot, there's nothing wrong with the Witcher series. They're great games, and while not on par with Deus Ex, they feed the need for action oriented RPGs. They also have entertaining characters and top tier waifus.
Take your butt-upset contrarian opinion back to 9gag.
>>345302296
Your appointment to FEMA should be finalized within the week. I've already discussed the matter with the senator.
>>345303443
Invisible War is pretty good in terms of story and characterization, friend.
>>345305742
They're very similar though
>First game is a clunky fucking mess to play even with mods, but the plot is pretty good and the setting is fun and interesting even if not original
>Second improves greatly upon mechanics, but still isn't quite up to par compared to other games of the genre, the plot is less complex and the player has less control over what happens, but its still good.
Second game is HR btw.
>Third game... GOTY?
>>345305886
Ah, I see. I've never played it, so I was curious
>>345301604
The TYM level was technically daytime, and there was supposed to be a daytime upper hengsha as a hub but it got scrapped due to time constraints. Looks really cool from the window of the TYM building tho
>>345301756
You can stack boxes on the left side of the first building you encounter with guards to get over the fence, after getting over the fence you can climb the ladder there. Its like right to the right of the guard post building for the facility.
>>345305119
How about you upgrade some skills before jumping on the "gameplay is dated" bandwagon?
>>345306045
TW2 is subpar, in my honest opinion. TW1 had a unique, KOTOR-esque turn based battle system, with flashy moves to accompany the RPG elements. It blended almost perfectly with the story, it never detracted from it.
TW2 had a slapped on, half-assed action-RPG system that aged the game almost immediately. It's not responsive or smooth enough to be enjoyable, or rigid and archaic enough to be nostalgic. It's just middling bullshit.
>>345306262
It's worth playing if you've enjoyed and abused the original Deus Ex. It certainly doesn't deserve the vitriol hatred it gets.
>>345302578
>save every few minutes
>run out of saves because DX only allows 1000 of saves to exist
>back up and delete everything
>that remix of the main theme as you escape the explosion if you go with the dark age ending
Oh fuck me this game's music is so good.
I can't enjoy Deus Ex like I used to. I know the VA for JC and he's kind of a weirdo. One time I talked to the VA for David Sarif and he made some weird comments about me and then insisted I watch one of his painfully unfunny "comedy" short films. Both of these experiences really turned me off from the franchise.
Did you fix that firewall yet?

Good job on admitting you haven't played the game.
