Pirated this, I've played for about 2 hours, having fun so far. Y'all really exaggerated about the humor. It's funny and over the top without making me nauseous. It's fun just running around and shooting shit. The characters aren't the cringefest so many would have me believe. They just wanted to make a fun, funny game.

Just keep an open mind regarding weapons, almost all categories have both good and shitty guns. The general way how to identify weapons is their type and manufactorer combo, because that usually tells you the general idea how the gun is going to work.
For example with snipers:
>Jakobs snipers shoot ultra-powerful non-elemental bullets with extremely low firerate
>Dahl Snipers burstfire
>Vladof snipers have big mags and fire fast, resemble accurate mini-gatlings
>etc.
Of course that doesn't tell you how good the gun actually is statistically, but it tells you if it is going to fit your general tastes.

BL2 was the for the most part okay with its humour just that certain characters dialogue gets annoying after awhile. Tiny Tina is the big offender(she was okay during a first run+dlc, afterwards not so much) but Mr.Torgue also has his moments.

From what I heard on this board I expected to empty multiple magazines into an enemy to kill it.
I can usually kill an enemy in a single Mag with many guns as Zero who is apparently one of the weakest characters.
