I'm a girl who realizes that making the combat longer in a tedious way (just making enemies larger damage sponges and forcing the player to spend more time rolling around and healing) in an already 130+ hour game isn't fun.
Seriously, I don't have a problem with more difficulty (within reason), but in this game Death March just detracts from the fun substantially for me. Maybe in a much, much smaller game I could deal with it but not in a behemoth like Witcher 3.

All you really have to do differently with Death March is you advance the story plotline until they missions start fucking you up, then you ride around to question marks and stuff until you are better.
Yes but I use mods to cheat. Auto apply oils and such. W3 gives 0 prep time for a battle in most cases, where 1 and 2 stressed its importance. All games sucked at telling you right when the battle was coming up, which would be fine if the potions lasted longer, at least in 3. So I don't even dick around with it, unlimited oil and auto apply it is.
Death March feels shallow anyways. You eight die in 1-2 hits or youre overpowered. Theres no middle ground.

Hell the wild hunt boss with keira took me three tries just because I had no idea how overpowered quen was and at that point I didn't have the skill that gave you more i frames when rolling.

Death March is nothing. Just spam quen + small dodge jump and you'll never die in the early mid gane. Once you're fleshed out and can minmax alchemy + damage boosts etc they all die ridiculously quick anyways.
