Is being a "tryhard" a bad thing?

Tryhard is word used by scrub to make themselves feel good when they suck at video games.

Depends on a bunch of stuff. If you are playing a game against a bunch of low level people who clearly dont know what they are doing and you are using the most OP gear/items/weapons and the sneakiest strats possible, then ya you are a faggot.

If you are playing a coop game and demand everyone uses an exploit so you win no matter what and freak out, then ya a faggot.

yes, trying in videogaems makes you a faggot

Using exploits most of the time isnt a hard thing to do, the tryhards that are faggots are the ones that demand you to do something stupid or impossible etc, but i really dont mind if people try hard if they have fun/win but dont boast about it and just be quiet

no. it's all about playing your absolute worse and then doing a complete 180 and clutching it out at the very end.

>get a headshot or a kill because the enemy went in your shot
>"wow dude stop trying so hard!"

true enough, my example of using op itms and the sneakiest strats isnt the hardest thing either. I personally consider a tryhard to want to win no matter what. If they really wanted to try hard they would equip a pistol against a bunch of noobs or some shit.

>playing with friends
>having fun, not taken everything too serious
>"tryhard mcgee joined the server"
>tells everyone what to do
>flips his shit over small mistakes

What is it that this fat fuck does to keep cropping up? Is he famous for the sake of being famous?

I remember him crying over some weight loss video or some shit and he's still a fat fuck.

It's become overused and so a lot of people don't seem to know what it means.

It's got to do with badly balanced games mostly, where an unskilled player will pick the character/weapon/gear that is far more effective than is reasonable for how difficult it is to use or is outright broken and generally makes the game less fun and interesting (think lower skill ceiling and variety) for everyone.

It can also mean someone who doesn't know how to handicap himself when playing with beginners who are still learning a complex game, probably scaring them off and shrinking the community.

It's generally a bad thing, yes.
