What's your preferred character customization option, /v/?
Do you like to completely make a custom characters from scratch; or have the game have a story-driven named character, but who you can change clothes, hair, etc. ; or a completely static main character so you don't have to mess with that shit?
I prefer having somewhat restricted customisation with "ticks" rather than pixel-precision sliders. The dev can design decent looking stuff, I'll mix and match to my liking. Black Desert tier customisation is nice and all but it doesn't really matter as you mostly see your character in action from behind, in various armors. I'd rather have a few presets but great hair physics that doesn't clip in armor than BD tier.

I love when the game allows me to start from Scratch, depending of the customization so many possibilities can come from it. You can either create your own or better yet, make someone who resembles another character. I had so much fun in Saints Row with the character customization that the game allows.
Having already set character that you can only change it's clothes is bullshit, one way or another he'll still be the same character with very little change.

I like to make characters that are were in a supposedly "bad" faction but gone good
I try to make suave Spanish characters if the game is modern.
Character creation systems with lots of predefined options are best. If you can't change anything about your character, things get boring and stale. If the game has a complex slider system like PSO2 does or FaceGen, it raises the chance that you fuck up without meaning to and get unintended results that are a pain to fix. (Especially FaceGen, where you can fuck things up by accident and have no way of fixing them due to the way each slider affects others.)
