It's a game where you dont have to kill anything, and where the best ending is gotten via surviving bullet hell segments.
Feeling for the NPC's is a big part of it though. If you cant have empathy for Goat Mom or Papyrus, well most of the fun is gone since they are big parts of the game. Saying "Oh Papyrus, you so silly" is a big part of the game.
So if you dont get attached quickly and dont like the characters, then you might not like it.

We already have a zelda maker, and a metroid maker, in progress. If Nintendo wants to make their own, they should at least be as high in quality. If they can offer at least something worthwhile that makes them worth their purchase, then they wouldn't be such ripoffs.

The comparisons between Lunar Magic and Mario Maker are all really tiring, to me. It's not like adding assets is a wholly difficult experience, but a lot of the things you can do (sometimes using Lunar Magic as a vector) have nothing to do with features or functionality contained within LM itself - most of it is work related to direct hex editing.
Creating objects or combinations of objects that behave in ways different to their source material is technically more limited in SMM due to you only having so many toys to play with, but so many things that would require you to dig into ASM can be done by just putting two objects together in SMM. It's about ease of use, and even though this image lauds KB+M as the superior control scheme, Lunar Magic will generally take longer to navigate through due to the interface generally being the bare minimum of user-friendly. Even simple shit like adjusting block size will take longer.
