I always used Goofy and the Guest Member. Donald always drained his MP on trash like a faggot and was useless afterward.
But as characters they're both great desu

Donald as my healing fuck boi
At least in 2, both are way better than people thing they are. Set the moves and styles you want them to play like and you're set. Have Goofy on relentless or target and Donald on sora so he won't die as fast and only use thunder occasionally and cure often. Goofy is great at stunning enemies.
