I disagree that you should play through it after Unlimited though, I feel like you should only go through it after finishing Alternative becausein Alternative Takeru in particular makes a big deal about how much of a waste of resources it is to fight against each other when they could be focusing on the BETA instead. TDA takes it to an extreme of how much resources they're wasting on each other when the BETA are still around. Resources are at an all time low and everything is extremely rationed but people would rather go to war with eachother than unite against a shared enemy. I feel like if you played Alternative after that then it'd make some of the scenes seem trivial in comparison and would take away from the impact.

The training suits show nipples, the purpose is to acclimatize pilots to the opposite gender, since getting embarrassed over that shit in the middle of a battle tends to get people distracted and then killed.

Then it dials the silly up even further because it's cliche animu harem antics in an apocalyptic mecha parallell world. It was stupid. It was amazing. Then a few months later I encountered Alternative and as soon as I fired it up and it was 16:9, I just fuckin knew I was in for a ride.

Iunno. Alternative PTSD arc was therapeutic for me. Echoed a lot of shit I was dealing with after my ETS, and having it all laid out like that was a good thing. Being surrounded by people that seem like they're from such a soft and sheltered world. Having them try to empathize with the shit you're dealing with and having their efforts come across as completely misguided and lost— even though you know they're just trying to help, and the frustration of all that....
