If you like stealth yes, even if you don't like stealth it can be a good action game. Personally I loved it.

I would say no because it's so hilariously goddamn easy. It's really sad how thoroughly you outclass the enemies with your sword and gadgets alone, never mind the powers. I feel it makes you lose that fear or being discovered because dispatching your foes is a trivial task.
That said, they did put a lot of effort into the world design. I personally didn't really think it paid off, but they get points for effort. Maybe they'll fix these problems in the sequel, but somehow I doubt it.

It's the only single player game in years that I played a second time just to try a pacifist run. Part of what makes it good is that is kinda short and without much filler (some, but not much.) Worth trying for that alone

And a lot of detail went into it, but the great thing is it doesn't force it down your throat, as in "hey look at this beautiful house" or "look at all the things you can do, here we'll force you to do it so you can check it out", you can fly past and miss a lot of things.

It's good but it's too easy
It's also fell into flawed design where when you got too many choices to play, players tended to pick the most optimal one: In this case, blink. It's so goddamn powerful that it almost makes any other powers redundant. Not to mention that Daud in the DLCs use blink AND TIME STOP.
But other than that, I don't think I had any complains other than some nitpicks. I like how smooth the controls is, especially on PC. I like how levels are imaginative and generally very well done. The Lady Boyle mission is a better Thief level than the entire Thiaf, and that's pathetic. I kept waiting about Deus Ex successor and Dishonored filled that void.
It's excellent. Can't wait for the second one.

You can kill 20% of the population in every mission and get low chaos. It's not even like high chaos is objectively shittier or fucks you over in gameplay; worst case is you get even more people to kill.

A masked man is slightly less suspicious than a criminal's face (although Corvo as a masked man ends up being wanted to if you go High Chaos), plus the mask offers him protection and some zoom in optic tricks.Also, it looks cool as fuck.
