MMBN thread. I'm about to marathon all the games. Tell me what versions to play and how to build my deck. Especially for 1 and 2, I don't know much about either of those even though I've wore out the rest.
The chips all have letter codes. You want to make sure your whole deck only has 1 or two unique letter codes, so you can make those sweet combos in combat.

I know how codes work I've played 3-6 plenty of times. I was just wondering what codes/combos were good in 1/2 because I've only played 2 once and never finished 1.
BN1 is painfully, horrifically broken. Gutshoot (Guard, Dash Attack, Gutsman) does 500 fucking damage, and most enemies kind of suck ass. You can access the depths of the undernet very early in the game to trivialize the shit out of it.
Abuse save states for Elecman's event. It's by far the WORST event in MMBN history.
BN2 you want to avoid abusing Gater at all costs, it's far too broken (Wind, Fan, Gateman). I suggest experimenting with Lifesword PAs and abusing AquaStyle's broken ass charged shot. Fire attacks and grass stage are GOAT.

Well for BN2 there'sthe gater folder which pretty much breaks the game, though it's not useful for all situations.
Is there any love for 4.5? It's never discussed in these threads?

4.5 is one of those oddball games that's kind of put to the side for being different. Same reason as Battlechip Challenge.

What Noise did you use in Star Force 3?
I got Ophiucus Noise the first time I ran into Dark Phantom, and considering it was the Save Prez subquest, I thought it was very fitting and stuck with it ever since.

I got Rogue noise early because I didn't have any brotherbands. Swords were already great, so my illegal noise SwordAttackX was even more broken after Rogue noise.

Wew, thats plenty of evidence to use Shadow over literally every other style in the game, including no style.
For 3, Blue is objectively better, unless you really like GroundStyle or MistMan.
For 6, you should play Falzar because there is an English patch for the JP version which has all the post-game content and area maps that the US version cut. Gregar doesn't have such a patch yet but the guy who did Falzar is doing Gregar now.
4 and 5 you can just play whatever, though 5's ending is clearer in Colonel than ProtoMan.

Blue, Red Sun but fuck 4, Colonel, and Gregar but Falzar is cool too.
Don't make alphabet soup but also don't worry about making a 1-code deck. Just find the chips you like and find other chips with similar codes.
