Because at the end of the day, it was still a short game and I wasn't going to pay full price for it. I had a ton of other games like jRPGs or whatever that gave me a lot of value for my money to play or PC games. The "clans" are literally nothing. It's just a meaningless tag under your character's banner. That's it.
The gameplay is solid as fuck, but the game itself is fucking awful if you have no friends to play with. If you have buddies, then wait for the expansion to drop and then pick it up. It's fun in a competitive sense, like trying to be the first team to do this or that or be the first one in your fireteam to reach the maximum level or get X gear first. Otherwise, it's a pointless gear threadmill but you can definitely sink like a good 1~2 months into it when there is new fresh content out.
Bungie is an awful developer and they are trying to milk the game dry with microtransactions even though this game was by far the most expensive one I've played if you wanted to keep track of the released content. It also had an on-disc DLC fiasco on launch. They also take too fucking long to fix bugs no matter how critical they are and quite often fix them wrong. It's a very frustrating ride. The game is also built around addiction and making you login in specific days to get X thing, so an average playthrough usually goes with you wishing death on everyone at bungie while still not being able to get enough of the game. It's a bittersweet thing that usually ends in frustration.

There's quite a bit of stuff to do on your own, to where you'll definitely get your money's worth if you decided to take the plunge, but the real meat of it (Raids, Challenge of Elders, Trials of Osiris, etc) you'll definitely want a crew of regular people who you play with. By the time you get to that point, you'll probably have made some friends online just by playing, and getting invites when you're at the tower. There's always LFG too.

Really don't understand why DS fags try and claim this. The chalice dungeons were some of the hardest bosses I have fought in any soulsborne game. The main story bosses can get pretty difficulty, definitely on par with ds3 and harder than any das/des bosses. Different artwork and less variety of weapons doesn't make the game easier. (DS1-3 are only hard if you try and do a tryhard roleplaying build)

Chalice Dungeons were some of the most lazy add-on shovelware I've ever seen. I'm actually embarrassed for From. The regular bosses in BB were cake walks. Don't think I ever tried any boss more than 4 times before beating it easily. I never even finished DS1 because of the difficulty.

Probably going to be the only one who mentions it, but Tower of Guns is a pretty decent RogueLite shooter. Good for turning your brain off and shooting shit.
Has an infinite looping mode where the game will keep going after being the last stage, starting you back off at the first level with stats intact. There is no upper cap for stat upgrades. A couple trophies/in game secrets are made solely with someone being retardedly buffed out in mind. One that comes to mind where if you have high enough jumping (enough Jump Height+'s and Extra Jump+'s) and go out of bounds, you'll get a message from the dev and a pile of free power ups to continue being OP as fuck.
Worth the five bucks, really. A decent 7/10.
