I've been having this weird dilemma ever since Persona 5 was announced (PS3 exclusive at the time) where I want to buy a PS3 but I know the system is losing support.
Like I want to play Catherine, Vanquish, P4A, and a ton of other games, but half of them will eventually get PC ports and there's no point in buying dead multiplayer games.

2000 and onward, aside from a few GBA remakes of the classics, it wasn't until the PS2 that brand new entries were made. It is around this time that Tony Tanaka started doing the art for the series. My guess is they liked him for the pretty art and hoped that people would get pulled in by the nice covers. However, the PS2 games themselves are 6-7/10 quality. Not to say they are bad as they did ok sales wise, but they were just ok. So far from what I have seen, they continue to be just ok, with no solid design direction that could improve the series or a team that could take it to a new direction. Even this fighting game is pretty meh. I'm only getting it because I like collecting fighter games.
