Its Etrian Odyssey but with more JRPG.
Its pretty good.
A good party for the beginning is Agent/Godhand/Duelist.
For Agent, use Hack > Scapegoat to kill basic mobs, and Hide > Bush Trap against harder enemies. Quick Hack is very useful for random encounters. Use Fire Troy to either hack bosses (Mad Strife will buy you a couple of rounds for buffing or healing, very useful) or add damage to the Duelists combo.
When you get the first skill expansion, use React > Hide > Bush Trap for the anti boss combo and Air Assault to win random encounters.
For Godhand, level up Jab to max then use Jab > Quartetto. Against Dragons or multiple opponents, use God Charge > Ambush Stance > Quartetto. Works best in combination with the Agent's Bush Trap.
When you get the skill expansion, add the React to your combos.
For Duelist, level up Fire Search to 2 and basically just do this every battle: Fire Search > X Fire > Volcano Field > any fire move. X Fire is a powerful attack that starts off weak, but rapidly increases in power when you use fire moves while its active. Used in combination with Volcano Field and its brutally destructive.
By the way, the best looking male model is imo the male student with the scarf. I use the blonde version myself.

The game is easy, but not like faceroll easy, you have to put in an effort and setup some strategy to make it be easy.
It starts out rough and gets really easy later on once you start unlocking each classes overpowered skills.
The game has really unique classes with a lot of interesting abilities, though a lot of them are derivative from previous entries to the game. Still creative and fun to build your characters.
The game also encourages you to immerse yourself and roleplay your characters to an extent.
If you like stuff like Etrian Odyssey Imm sure you'll get a kick out of this.

Agent's hide ability is surprisingly handy. The Ambush attack they learn procs whenever ANYONE is hit, not just them, which can let them counter 2-4 times every round.
I just got my second team. I ended up not really caring about who I made but they're just portraits. I might swap around the teams a bit to experiment.

Nowadays JRPGs are more enthralling game experiences than open-world walking simulators like "Fallout 4" and "The Division." Most of the upcoming open-world games are no exception, even LOZ Breath of the Wild is going to abandon what made it Zelda by going to the Skyrim route, and Skyrim isn't exactly the best game, even with mods, your bound to feel empty like shit eventually as the whole main quest is full of crap just like Fallout 3/4 was. Most WRPGs have the same problem, give you tons of "freedom" in the game, only to lose focus on its own self. The endings in the vast majority of them are very unsatisfyting while in several old-school JRPGs I never ran into this problem in the first place. Even some newer JRPGs make you feel like your ingame efforts were worthwhile rarely feel like this with WRPGs.
