Imagine if you wanted to move your leg forward, but your brain told it to move backward. Whatever movement you want to make, your body will go in the opposite direction. You wouldn't want to live like that would you?

That's what happened to me. I played a lot of flight/space sims on our old PC before I ever played console games with analog sticks. So it just got ingrained in me that control sticks of any kind should work that way. I don't play with inverted mouse controls, though.
