That's a poor system. You want at least an 860m or 960m to run at medium to high settings on modern games.

Here's the benchmarks for the 940m http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-940M.138027.0.html
You can look up other mobile GPU benchmarks there

sorry man, not everyone can sit in mummy's attic all day
A gaming laptop is a good entry level thing I guess but it will leave you wanting for something better.
As far as your choice goes, it's fairly poor. Acers aren't exactly noted for quality in any real way and you'll maybe get to medium settings with those specs.
Bought this thing for €800 with insurance money because my previous laptop got annihilated in a traffic accident. Runs games suprisingly well. Upgraded from a college Word document machine to a machine I can actually use from day to day for free thanks to a Russian that can't drive for shit.

It's an Asus R557L by the way if you want to look it up OP. It's really slim and light and fits perfectly in a backpack.
What's the cheapest laptop that I can run Skyrim on with medium settings and probably alot of gameplay mods? Not into many video games, so might use it for some GTA type games too but that's it. Don't want to buy a console because I enjoy modding.

Something with a 730m runs skyrim fairly well, around the 1366x768 resolution, just don't run it with 8xAA like the benchmarks here http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-730M.84681.0.html

it'll run ANY game out there, decently at medium-ish settings, at least on 720p.
I got a 4yo craptop with 540M, and it can run some new games, like Talos and KF2, just fine.
